Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful architecture and decoration inside and out. Much less crowded than other Gaudí attractions. Easy to get to by metro or about a half hour walk from Casa Mila/ La Pedrera.

We did not visit the museum. We took a ride up here for the views of the city. The magic fountain is still closed but this is a special place to visit. Highly recommended.

What an amazing science museum this is. So much to see and do with so many interactive displays. It's not just boards of text (though there are information boards explaining the display) but instead it's more like you're doing experiments so that you can understand what it's trying to show. The flooded rainforest in particular is simply amazing. The best museum we've been to and the highlight of our trip to Barcelona

The view of the city and sea are amazing from here. Well worth the trip just for the view. We took a bus to the Parc, then walked down the steps. Would recommend this as a stop on your journey.

We ordered tickets online before leaving for our trip. You can search the website to see the times when they are typically less crowded. It wasn't too busy when we were there.
We found the museum and went to the entry area. We were directed back to a ticket counter to redeem our vouchers for tickets. We also got our audio guide and left our items in a locker. Lockers are free and to be used for larger items. Back to the gallery entry. So, a bunch of running back and forth involved. Of course, it might have been us.
This museum is so much larger than the one we visited in Malaga. We were overwhelmed with the number of works on display. We found it to be interesting that there were so many we didn't know. Items included drawings, sculptures and paintings. So, a wide range of art works. And the art covered decades of work.
The audio guide was disappointing as I had to keep advancing and backing up to hear about various works. And, as noted in another review. The guide ran out before I had made it through all the galleries so there were other pieces with no audio information. I'm not sure I think the audio guide was an advantage. They do, however, come in a variety of languages.
We are so happy we visited. Allow plenty of time as there is much to see.

An amazing museum for anyone who appreciates the Alien movies. The focus is on the forst two films, but there are items from other Alien films as well. The amount of detail is unbelievable and Luis has a deep knowledge about how the movies were made. Intresting original collectibles and replicas. Also loved the interactive features. I would love to visit again in the future when the museum expands.

I thought this was an excellent museum and, unlike a lot of tourist attractions in Barcelona, I thought it was good value for money, especially as concessions for students and seniors are provided.
The collection of Joan Miro’s works is laid out across some 15 galleries of varying sizes and the exhibition provides very good information on his life, his different style periods and on each individual work.
You can take cameras into the exhibition but you cannot take bags or food and drink and this is well signposted and explained when you buy the tickets at the desk and free lockers are provided for your stuff so it is not a problem, so feel free to ignore the one post knob head below.
There are plenty of toilet facilities and the cafe was very good as well.

A Nice simulation at the start. A lot of themes. A Song of Ice and Fire, Sports, horror, art, music. And the throne of 1000 swords for Selfies. I like it a lot. Would go again next time in Barcelona

What an amazing place. Beautiful and interesting, with the added bonus that it was almost empty. Well worth hopping off the bus to visit - only €5 entrance fee.

First, I was very critical of the Caixa Forum in Barcelona, but when we arrived it convinced me to be a super decision!
