Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- patgonfleetwoodLancashire, UK3 contributionsLots to see in this old capital of Spain .Monuments to Cervantes, Columbus , Don.Juan .Easy to get about, great bars and restaurants for all pockets . Just sit and have a drink and a people-watch in the main square,Plaza Mayor .Written 9 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AlbertoCoimbraRio de Janeiro, RJ233 contributionsAnother example of how a city can be. A delightful place, plenty of green and spaces to walk around and have some time for your own or your loved ones. You can seat, you can have a sandwich in complete peace, you can coexist with other people that are just going by. A "must do".Written 16 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- cloudrestPhiladelphia, PA93 contributionsSmall town square, quintessential Mexico. We were there on weekend and there was street performers and lots of stands selling street food. Go hungry and stroll through to sample, they are very good. There is a beautiful old church at one side, and lots of benches to sit on. People watch, relax, wander down the lanes that spoke out from it. Cool shops, sit down for coffee. Amazing restaurants nearby.Written 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alison Lemon4 contributionsThis Church is simply impressive, the facade is beautiful, the environment and its legend of the baptism of the King.
An essential place if you are in Valladolid for tourism.Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Having explored the space in daytime and in the evening, I think it is seen to better advantage at night, when it is beautifully and dramatically lit inside. There are several pleasing sculptural elements, as well. My only caveat is that -- although the passage is open to the air at both ends --there was perhaps a little bit too much cigarette smoking inside . . .Written 3 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ron SNew York City, NY5,931 contributionsIt's a very imposing building with an interesting equestrian statue in front of it suitable for a cavalry school.Written 9 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kevin SBoston, MA77 contributionsThough it’s easy (and understandable) to get caught up in the excellent shops, restaurants, cafes, parks, and museums of Valladolid, be sure to devote time to some of the buildings of its historic university, which is one of the oldest in Europe. One of the primary central buildings, which is illuminated at night, has an intricate Baroque facade and an interior decorated with colorful Spanish tiles and sporting a grand staircase. Another significant edifice, not too far away, houses the historic library of Santa Cruz upstairs and a serenely beautiful cloister at its center. If you need help finding these spaces, just ask one of the many passing students!Written 4 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gail MState College, PA3 contributionsThis little house isn't exactly where Cervantes lived, but does have some interesting information about the man and the era. Most of the displays also had an English translation, which was helpful. It is quite small, but I enjoyed walking through the house.Written 25 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - xiolungnewark, de251 contributionsThis castle is filled with fantastical things- fairy bones, dragon skeletons and dragon eggs as well as a unicorn. There is an apothecary room with old potions and jars of oddities. You get to walk through ancient castle rooms and halls. The eight of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience.Written 24 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - StefcutDivonne-les-Bains, France21 contributionsIt is a beautiful ancient nativity, in the traditional style of Naples, with all the characters you would expect to find. - seanawayireland188 contributionsLovely old church a few steps from the cathedral. Well worth a visit, if only for its simplicity. The interior is very unlike any other I have seen in Spain but is a serene oasis.Written 28 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
