Such a beautiful Cathedral that is the heart of Palma city. You can admire it from far and close and visit inside. My favourite thing is when it lights up in the night time and looks really bright and wonderful! :)

Very nice caves, huge parking, best to buy tickets online to secure your slot. We were in November and still quite some (~150) people together in a group. Concert is nicely done, boat trip is overrated. Would not stand in line for that if it is busy because the walk over the bridge is exactly the same.

Beautiful old town worth repeat visits to wander the streets and with many options to eat. It was very busy in September. We visited the Roman ruins of Pollentia this time, worth a look. Chose to leave the car and use public transport, less hassle. You need to be very aware that there are pickpockets working the wall, when we were there it was two men and a woman, they look like tourists taking interest in the site, it’s fairly busy so you are in single file at many points, everyone we walked past with a backpack it had been opened and they were completely unaware. We notified a couple of people and the pickpockets realised we’d seen them and left but not without hurling abuse at us from the base of the walls.

Castell de Belver is a castle in Spain in the city of Palma. There is a large free parking lot outside the castle grounds. There are also toilets and restaurants outside the area, which are open even outside the opening hours of the castle. Unfortunately, I didn't get to the castle itself, because it was closed, but we walked around and there is a wonderful view of the harbor and the entire city of Palma.

This is a must see, must do. Everything else in Palma pales in comparison. We arrived on a cruise ship.

A city is a city but this UNESCO countryside is spectacular! But how to see it?

I did so much research on renting vehicles like three wheel cars and the like: most not easily accessible from port.: or taking the train to Sóller ( missed reviews) but decided to rent a car from the airport.

Au contraire! Took a taxi to the airport to rent…(I had gotten my international driving license and bought a map from Amazon, and studied the route…)
BUT: no one said I needed my passport!

Tears! Taxied back to the cruise port but then… I counted the cost of two more $25 taxi rides back and forth and instead… decided to hire a driver: they hang around with signs as you exit the dock.

This guy was SO nice trying to help me get back in the right door back to the ship to retrieve my passport. Nit I turned around and approached him.

And… we hired him. $250 for 3 hours/ we were out 4 1/2 hours and became fast if brief friends. Anass is from Niger, told us his immigrant story, and showed us the most out of the way and beautiful places!
I’ll include his contact in pictures… we went everywhere I planned to go: Soller, beautiful Port of Soller, winding our way to Valldemossa, rated number one place to see ( although full of busses! The Port was better!)

This was SO easy , safe and fun. I couldn’t have navigated all the roads and enjoyed it if I had rented a car.

You can’t go on holiday with little kids and not go to the beach. Nice little walk from the hotel where we were staying at. More or less a straight walk to the beach you can’t miss it and can see it in the distance. Nice beach it weren’t that busy this time of year and the water was warm not freezing like the hotel pool.

We all enjoyed ourselves and the kids built their sand castles and a big ditch.

There are slides you can hire and if you walk further around there are other activities maybe you can hire or you may have to book ahead.

Nice friendly beach and relaxing vibe.

This is the sea world in the city of Palma. Dozens of fish can be seen on site. Sharks, turtles and jellyfish are a big attraction. Tickets are quite expensive. Oats are cheaper when bought online. I am attaching a map and feeding times of individual species of animals as photos. The tour is for the whole family. duration approx. 2-3 hours.

Long, beautiful beach with calm water. Unlike some of the top rated “beaches” in Mallorca, there is plenty of sand/space on this long, sandy beach. And the water tends to be calm, given the gradual drop off. The beach itself is a 5, but the access is a 1. The long, winding road to the conveniently located parking lot is not wide enough in some areas for two mid-size cars to pass in opposite directions, requiring one to back up to a wider area to let the other car pass.
Just a general tip when renting a car in Mallorca: go as narrow/small as you can.

It's a beautiful place surrounded of mountains and the sea. There is a cafeteria inside the lighthouse for a light meal, such as pizza and coffee. Parking can be crowded

Quite expensive but you probably could spend all day here if you choose to use the splash park too. We didn't want to have to carry swimming stuff as we weren't staying nearby so didn't try this.

The upside down house was a favourite. It's air-conditioned for a start but there's alot for kids above 4 to enjoy and we visited twice. The 4d shows aren't really 4d. Just 3d screen with wobbly seats. Only one was suitable for our 4 year old.

The soft play was ok but the bit for above 4s was tricky for a 4 year old and my oldest didn't want to spend whole time looking after her. No adults are allowed inside to help younger ones so ended up not staying long.

    Mini golf was good.

Overall a good day out for kids 4 and up

One of the must in Mallorca. Sky blue water in a natural environment. Do not cross the path and do not make trash. There are 119 steps to get to the cala des Moro but is worth it.
