Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- MOblessedOzark, MO156 contributionsMy friend and I were on a cruise stop for the day in Ibiza. We looked up the best beach on Trip Advisor and took a taxi 30 min here. It was breathtaking!! We got there around 10 am and the beach was not busy at all. We got a great beach spot! We stayed until the afternoon. We walked up to the beach restaurant for lunch and sangrias. It was very busy but we didn’t have to wait long. By the time we left the beach was packed! It was a wonderful day with beautiful turquoise, calm water. Worth the crowds to see!Written 8 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Steve_of_N21London, UK3,377 contributionsCannot really add anything to the myriad of reviewers who have already described Dalt Vila as the charming Old Town of Ibiza Town, with its plethora of cobbled back streets and imposing fortress, whose ramparts should be climbed to get magnificent views over the coast and the rest of the town.
You can pick up a free walking guide from the tourist office in Vara de Rey which gives various routes to navigate the warren of streets and there is the benefit of several multi language information plaques at most of the key spots but it’s probably just as much fun to do your own off-piste tour at your leisure.
Its home to many tourist shops, all manor of restaurants including some very good tapas ones and small traditional bars that do not get as busy or loud as those that line the edge of the Marina. The small exception (when considering loud) we found was the De Miedo Rock Bar, tucked away down a dead end side street, that provided an excellent rock music sound track and good beers, as well as a cracking games room.Written 24 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Get there a good hour before sunset and take some drinks as some times people are selling drinks but others times they aren’t. There is a walk up through the woods until you see beauty that is Es Vedra ! The parking is a bit of a nightmare but you can park on the road alsoWritten 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dale VDartford, UK4 contributionsBeautiful beach club , lovely beach club beach, the public beach is quite lovely but small. As soon as we got there we was asked if we had a reservation for parking? Then did we have reservations for sunbed, then the restaurant. Still we had lovely afternoon on the public .Written 13 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Steve_of_N21London, UK3,377 contributionsThis imposing castle dominates Ibiza Old Town with parts over a 1000 years old. Free to enter it combines different historical elements such as 12th century medieval design and 18th century barracks. There are a lot of steps and slopes with a decent accent or gradient to get about so its not really wheelchair friendly or suitable for anyone who cannot really handle steps. But if you are the reward of the views from its higher battlements are really worth the effort
We entered through the side arch entrance at Plaça de la Reina Sofia rather than the main entrance of Portal de ses Taules. From here it’s a fairly straight climb up several steps to the southern ramparts and their spectacular views to the west and especially of the main beach at Playa de Bossa. Then its along to the Eastern ramparts and its spectacular view of Ibiza marina and harbour. This does mean that you are going in a different direction to most of the visitors but has the advantage that it is a gentle winding descent, via the Cathedral, back down to the main entrance on Portal de ses Taules which then deposits you straight into the back lanes of the old town.
There are some small refreshment places within the castle walls but most are in the streets outside, so if you do plan to walk the entire castle then I would recommend to bring a bottle of water and wear decent shoes or trainers.Written 25 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The walk is quite rocky and steep but very much worth it. Be careful wearing sandals when walking up. There are no sun beds or parasols available but we just put our towels straight down on the sand. I would recommend bringing your own parasol due to there not being much shade.
The beach itself is absolutely beautiful and the water is crystal clear. You can see the fish swimming underneath you.
Ideal for people who wish to snorkel. The beach is extremely clean and tidy. People were very polite and respectful.
Not hard to find and glad we went. Take some water and snacks with you.
Highly recommend for a day trip out.Written 13 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Troy TempestUnited Kingdom91 contributionsIt was a fun morning trip via the Ibza fun train.
The market is full with a free for all direction it seems making it a tad chaotic at times..
We browsed and bought a few Wicker shades which we had not seen elsewhere and a few craft things for our Christmas tree.
Yes the watch guy was there but they looked awfully blingy this year.
We certainly saw the same items elsewhere and for half the price.
To sum up.. it's OK but not really a Hippy Market more middle aged English type weekend hippies selling produce they bought locally elsewhere on ebay.
The €30 Bo Ho long sleeve tops they were selling I bought locally in Cala Llonga for €3.99!.. It's a Hippy hustle but we enjoyed ourselves..Written 19 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Also many parking spots nearby.Written 26 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Steve_of_N21London, UK3,377 contributionsA sizeable port and Marina with the posh yachts on one side and the Cruise ships and car ferries on the other, it’s a very pleasant area to stroll during the day and take it all in, and its not very far from here to reach the other areas of Ibiza Town. There are several bars and restaurants that line the Marina, especially those that line Carra Andanes, but like posh Marinas everywhere else these do come with the usual “Marina tax” and better and cheaper options can be had short distance away in the back streets of the Old Town, Dalt Vila. This was especially true at night when the myriad of Marina side bars attract the beautiful people wanting to be seen (that’s posers to you and me), who don’t mind paying a few euro’s more for their cocktails.
One other big plus of the Marina is that the western side, where the passenger ferry boats dock, is home to an enormous taxi rank which in our experience has a constant stream of green light taxis at any time of day of night, taking the angst out of how to get back to your accommodation, especially in the small hours.Written 24 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ronaboatStirling, UK11 contributionsNice clean beach with a few nice eateries / shops / supermarket.
