Must see if you are in this city. On on side of the canal, there is historical architecture to admire and on the other side you can check out many designer brands that are available for shopping enthusiasts. If the weather is nice, you can take a stroll along the water and enjoy the scenery.

Saga, Spirit of the Rhine - collection from home - good except driver appeared to avoid congestion zone in London so made for a longer journey, same occurred on return.
On board very good - food choices excellent, cabin good.Trips good.
Return journey bad/nightmare. Collection by coach from boat delayed due to missing guide. Coach driver did not appear to know the way to Brussels Eurostar. Had not checked route as roads closed due to a marathon, road works etc. missed train and offloaded in side street with cases onto pavement. Guide had no idea where the station or Eurostar entrance was.
Coach drivers should know route and if any potential disruptions due to marathons, road works as a minimum.

Great viewing tower where you can see for miles. Great views of the Rhine Kirmes. The lift is quick and the cafe is good to grab a drink and a snack. Would definitely recommend if you have time.

Nice on a good weather day, you can see it in about 1.5 hours, some animals you may feed and pet, some others you can't. Bring apples if you can as the animals like them better than the food for them that you can buy there. Very good with smaller kids as there are a couple of playgrounds.
Oh, by the way, it's free.

This is a partially covered (famers) market with a mix of fresh produce and cafés. It's open during the day and definitely worth a visit, especially around lunch time. It can be very busy on Saturday so you might have to wait for a table in one of the cafés.

This is a nice area to take a stroll in. The buildings are quirky and well worth a look at. It was December when we went so cold but you can see that there is also a place in the river where you can take a swim in the summer.

This impressive and intricate sculpture (1988) by local artist Bert Gerresheim celebrates and tells the story of Dusseldorf receiving its town privileges in 1288 and the history of the last 700 years. Take some time to really examine this incredible sculpture.

We visited this stadium to watch England v Switzerland in Euro 2024. The stadium was great, easy to get to, easy to get a beer and plenty of room at our seats. A great result meant it was a great day
