Our visit to the Reichstag was great! Unfortunately we went at the time when the dome was being cleaned but we were still able to go to the roof and see wonderful views of the city! There is not too much to do after looking at the views of the city but I would still recommend going!

The area around the Brandenburg Gate was very crowded when we visited, especially since there were Euros football matches going on and there was some area set aside for a fan zone. But we still had the opportunity to marvel at this impressive monument and appreciate how much history it has seen. It's located very near the Reichstag and other sights, so you'll almost certainly have the opportunity to walk here and see it.

This memorial was one of the most impactful sights we visited in Berlin. We started off with the visitor center and the two movies they show there, which were about 15-20 minutes each and both quite good. Then we went outside and saw the various remnants of the wall itself, some quite long. There's also an observation tower you can climb and then look across the street to see a reconstructed full "death zone" with multiple walls and guard towers. We spent about an hour here and could have stayed a while longer if we hadn't had a bike tour scheduled afterward.

A free sight seeing activity that is historic and is art. It is a long inner wall of the Berlin Wall that is in tact. Some really interesting paintings. The Kiss painting by Dimitri Vrubel was painted shortly after the fall of Eastern Germany and is the most popular spot so it takes patience to get your pics.

Tiergarten is an absolutely huge park in the central district of Tiergarten ,its massive, home to the famous Berlin Zoo ,Victory Column and reaching as far as the Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag Building, the park is great to wander around and there's lots of interesting features in the park with lakes ,hiking trails and statue's, its most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a holiday to Berlin.

I visited Berlin Zoo with my 7-year-old son, and we had an amazing time! The zoo is huge, and we spent around four hours exploring both the main zoo and the aquarium. There was so much to see—animals, birds, insects—every corner was full of excitement.

The variety of species was impressive, and the enclosures were well maintained. My son loved watching the big cats, elephants, and the incredible underwater world in the aquarium. It was a fun and educational experience, perfect for families.

Highly recommended if you’re in Berlin!

This beautiful and elegant Xmas market is in the centre surrounded by beautiful old historical buildings and a hotel. You need to pay 2 Euros to go in.

There is a stage and sometimes there are performances. Lots of craft shops and a few restaurants. We went to 2 different restaurants at the front near the entrance and surprisingly they are of very high standard. Great atmosphere and food!

All in all, we enjoyed it very much and highly recommend it.

Glad we visited and luckily no queue. It is quite expensive but Beverly so would recommend. There is a small bar at the top and it was lovely to have a drink there as the darkness fell. The other place for views is the parliament dome - this is lower building so you get some height but can see more detail.

Just returned for this museum. Was packed full of information and very interactive.

Unfortunately the interactive layout does make the museum feel cramped at times (especially on a windy sunday morning in August). I’d recommend going early or during the week for a quieter experience.

There’s something for everyone here and you could easily spend a good couple of hours here.

I study history at university and found it all super interesting. I will likely return when next in Berlin!

The German Museum of Technology in Berlin is absolutely incredible! Its extensive exhibits cover aviation, shipping, railways, and more. The aviation hall, with a Douglas C-47 on the roof, is breathtaking. Interactive displays make it fun for all ages. A must-visit for anyone curious about science and engineering!

We got the 11:30 am tour.
I am not a big fan into football but the history behind the stadium surprised me.
Excellent tour guide, loads of facts shared.
    Well explained tour.
He didn't rush and was open to questions.
Beautiful stadium and lods of hidden rooms which you don't imagine when looking from outside.
    Highly recommend it

Visited for the alexanderplatz Christmas market, really well decorated and great festive atmosphere. Lots of food & gluhwein stalls and some lovely decorations stalls too . all really well organised and the big party house is a great addition to sit in and warm up with a beer or 2! Well priced market compared to the UK. Would also recommend visiting the galeria mall which is set across 5 floors and was great for shopping.

Another fascinating thing to do in Berlin! We walked down the long road from the Brandenburg Gate to the victory column which was enjoyable and then had to navigate how to actually get to the column in the middle of the road🤣 You have to keep an eye out for the entrance to the tunnel that takes you under the road and to the column! It was great to look at the detail on the outside of column. I then walked up the spiral staircase to the top of the column which was a work out in and of itself! Once at the top, you can get some great views but it has quite a small floor space up there so it’s a bit nerve wracking!

A good area for a walk around, not tonnes to do but there’s plenty near by such as the Brandenburg gate which is within walking distance also the large Berlin mall which is worth a visit. Train station is right there so you don’t even have to walk to Potsdamer.

When we visited last weekend they had Christmas markets on. They were small and a little cramped and over crowded but as this was the only one open so it’s probably why it was so busy. You have to try either mulled wine or hot chocolate with rum both were really good.

Mitte really is the visitor centre of Berlin! Located in the east of Berlin it has most of the famous sights that a tourist will be looking to see with the Brandenburg gate, Reichstag building, Checkpoint Charlie is etc.

It is a bustling neighbourhood, brilliant for just strolling in general as you’re bound to find things you didn’t know about before your visit and be sure to look up as there really is some stunning architecture!
