It took a bit of figuring out how the quiz geo-location works but got their in the end. - Bruce BOcala, FL326 contributionsMy wife and I participated in this 2-day tour and we had a wonderful experience. The only problem for me was that, as with all group tours, you're stuck with the people around you. Well one older lady traveling alone on our tour got lost and separated from the group in the first city and the entire tour was stuck waiting for her for an hour until the guides finally decided to leave and bring her back later on after they found her. This meant we only had about 15 minutes on Omaha Beach, which was the primary reason we booked the tour in the first place. Regardless, we had a wonderful overall experience and loved every minute of the tour, outside of this one issue. - Dianejohnson2 contributionsWe spent a few days with touring Normandy with our guide, Adrien C.- May 26-29, 2019. My husband and I were totally impressed by his pleasant demeanor and his wealth of information.
Adrien was incredibly knowledgeable and although my husband has a good understanding of D-Day and WWII, he came away with a newfound understanding of the events and deeper insights.
Also, we had fun and enjoyed spending our days with Adrien C! He started our days with a smile and pleasant personality, and dropped us off back at our hotel, feeling like we just had the best tour ever!
We highly recommend the Normandy Tours and suggest that you ask for Adrien C. as your guide. We had excellent communication with the tour operator both prior to and during tour which was so helpful. He spoke very good English! Igor was very knowledgeable of the D-Day invasion, the beaches, and the countryside.

I would like to point out that if you are not into history, this might not be the one for you as then the price is too high. Pros: The tour guide was wonderful. She knew her stuff and gave us a lot of information. The sites we visited were amazing. I could have done without the third day which was the Loire valley but that is just my personal taste. I prefer Versailles and Fontainebleau.
Hiccups:
For a “ luxury” tour the AC was awful on the bus and it is July! We asked multiple times to have it adjusted but there is only so much the bus driver and guide can do. It is the tour company’s responsibility to make certain their “ luxury “ buses are functional in 100 degree heat.
The second hotel we stayed at had AC issues as well. Many rooms did not have functional AC at the second hotel.
Lastly just fyi if you have any mobility issues this tour may not be for you. There is a tremendous amount of walking and several people just sat out a few of the activities due to their inability to climb the stairs or walk certain distances.
Overall it was a nice trip and a great way to see this amazing region of France. I just wish the AC had been working better. It made for some uncomfortable bus rides and the one night at the hotel.

We learned so much and felt like we saw all the highlights of these beautiful, charming towns. He catered to our needs while staying true to the itinerary and I will never forget this experience.
