Popped in around lunchtime and there was a short queue but got in pretty quickly, bigger than it looks with lots of nooks to explore. Very good selection of books and the staff were friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you like book shops.

The Pantheon is an amazing place to visit. Go early in the day before the crowds build up. It is a temple established back in the Revolution and dedicated to distinguished French citizens. The crypt contains the remains of Voltaire - but not his heart - and those of other famous French people including Victor Hugo and Madame Curie. (There are many more men than women). The sculpture and wall paintings are out of this world. The entry fee is not cheap but well worth it.

Don’t be fooled by the outside, it’s way bigger on the inside. Some of the treasures more than 4000 years old. Throughout this amazing museum what I noticed was a strong beliefs of the devil and Christianity which was clearly depicted in their art. A quick note, it’s free on a Sunday. They have their own cafe which leads out onto this majestic courtyard of yesteryears. At the end of the museum, as always was a gift shop quite pricy. Highly, highly recommend a visit.

A “foodies paradise” and must stop. Fill up with fresh produce, cheese, chocolate, baked goods and more. Next time in Paris, I might just stay at an Air b&b just to take full advantage of this treasure.

Grand old church. Highlight for me was the massive pipe organ. The spiral staircases are also fantastic. People still pray here so it is advised to keep the noise down. A nice bit of peace and quiet.

We have walked by this church countless times during our visits to Paris and the Left Bank, but never stopped in so it was on our itinerary for this visit. Saint-Severin is one of the oldest churches on the Left Bank, with construction started in the 1200s; after a fire it was enlarged in the 1400s-1600s in a style called Flamboyant Gothic, which may be an extension of the typical Gothic style often seen in churches. On this rainy Sunday afternoon, we stopped by to take a look. A bit on the dark side, since the natural light was tempered by the clouds outside. Looking up the center aisle from the back of the church, and above, you see many arched ribs. Very interesting!! We walked around the side aisles to look at the various chapels with their statuary, murals and paintings, stained glass, and altars. The stained glass windows are beautiful! The oldest dates back to the 1370s; the newest date from the late 1960s. Love the modern windows! These old churches are something to behold!

A lovely open air (historic) passage way, that is home to the oldest restaurant in Paris, the "Le Procope", this is one of many attractions in the area, that warrants a visit.

This is essentially a natural history museum. It’s been recently renovated, and the new facility is beautiful. The collection is fine, though nothing particularly special if you have been to other similar museums. Bring a euro coin if you want to use the coat check.

I first visited the Musee Curie in Paris about ten years ago. It is small, and not easy to find, hidden away, appropriately on 1 rue Pierre et Marie Curie. The museum is one moderately large room, two somewhat smaller work rooms and a bookshop, plus a quite delightful garden. With such a small place, the exhibits are necessarily limited in scope, but well selected and of great interest to anyone with a scientific leaning. The garden is quite delicious with a good assortment of flowers and shrubs and busts of Marie and Pierre. A visit should last between thirty minutes to an hour, depending on your interests, but I found it so satisfying that I have been back twice since. (It would have been more but for Covid!)
If i do get back to Paris, this is one of my 'must' visits.

Best croissant in Paris! Lovely produce, cheese, fois gras, handmade jewelry, clothing, and leather journals. We went for the pastry and came back with much more. Much nicer market than others we have seen in Paris.

I'm not sure how much you will see without a student or faculty member to escort you in past the front desk. But this is the big old university, a big presence on the Left Bank. The buildings are a bit austere, but definitely imposing. And there are lots of cafes around for you to sit and admire the view.

We did the Metro at Cardinal Lemoine. It was truly amazing. A different level to other escape rooms we have done elsewhere both in terms of overall experience - Romain was absolutely brilliant - and the actual escape room - an actual metro carriage. Two adults and three children - it worked for us all. Thanks so much for topping off a great week in Paris.

On my recent trip to Paris, I took a baguette & French bread baking class. I've seen and done many things in Paris, but I must say this class topped it all! We made three kinds of breads under the watchful & helpful eye of Frederick The Le Foodist shop is so lovely and easy to access Next time I go to Paris, I will be signing up for more of their classes
