Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Wainer77Tustin, CA7 contributionsThis is what you would expect for a farmers market. Easy enough to get a meal/snack while you are there. As far as tourism goes, there is a few stalls that have typical souvenirs way cheaper than the other popular destinations. Can get stuff for 1-2 euro each.Written 5 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Neil BAuckland, New Zealand1,447 contributionsWe went to the Van Gogh exhibition and it was sensational. It was if you were immersed in the paintings. They had really brought the art to life, with the water shimmering and the stars twinkling! Great location in an old steel foundry. Clean restrooms. Small gift shop.Written 3 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Adrian R1 contributionWe did the One Bad Night game. Fun puzzles and a very friendly and welcoming host. - Thomas GAmsterdam, The Netherlands1,834 contributionsAlthough there isn't much to see about the old famous prison except a small sign hard to find and some stones on the round, but the fact that you know it is a special place, makes it special. The monument in the middle is also cool.Written 17 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ugochi EAbuja, Nigeria2 contributionsBeautiful experience .Paris, the City of Light! A solo trip to Paris was a truly liberating and unforgettable experience. Here's a review to inspire your adventure:
*Pros:*
- Immersive cultural experiences:
- Personal growth: Embrace the thrill of navigating unfamiliar streets and trying new foods alone.

The only dawnfall is the delay in the clothe storing line.

We bought some fresh fruit and were able to pack from lovely picnics during our time in Paris. My recommendation is to pack a reusable grocery bag to make your market shopping easier.Written 27 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Traci MJersey City, NJ48 contributionsAfter all the walking I did in Paris, I wanted to treat myself so I booked the Hammam ritual with the 30 minute massage. When you arrive you pick your massage oil scent and then you go downstairs for the treatments. There was a little difficulty, since my French was a good as the therapist's English, but we managed to understand each other. The Hammam was great and so relaxing; I feel asleep in the steam room. I would recommend this to anyone looking to do something different in Paris, not just sight see.Written 25 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas VOakland, CA17,485 contributionsThis part of Paris was once full of workshops of artisans who created a lot of the luxury goods for the world. Gradually they have been replace by apartments or little houses, or as in this case, by shops and artists. This little courtyard is very charming.Written 20 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Go1731401 contributionJust to update: though we were unable to go to the museum as the available time wasn’t good for us (conflicting with other booked tours) I called the number and the curator answered within 2 rings.
Very polite. You should call during opening hours.
Make sure you have the correct phone number. We are from Canada so needed to include the international calling code
You would enter the following
+33 1 43 55 52 72 (on iPhone press and hold the 0 to get the + sign).
I initially made the mistake and entered 0 after the 33 and got the wrong number recording. To avoid disappointment, please enter the phone number correctly.
Though we missed visiting the museum, contrary to other reviews, we had a positive experience trying to get an appointment.Written 16 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
