"I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
... as a return visit from October 2019. I visited because it is famous and has a history. I crossed from the Grand and Petit palais areas on my way to visit (again) the museum of Les Invalides (see my next review).
I liked crossing, being on and observing, studying, analyzing and photographing 📷 the statues (see my "helpful" 👍 photos 📷, especially of foreign tourists with the bridge as the background.
WAS IT WORTH THE COST
Yes- it is free
WOULD 'I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN?
Probably, but not as a specific destination but as something that I'm passing anyway, between something and something else
ADVICE
* This is certainly worth seeing- walking on it, sailing underneath and looking from the sides of the river

- This museum is not as popular as Louvre, but you can’t miss it! It’s free of charge, but the collection is really impressive. There are two levels, each of them includes modern art pieces and some works of famous sculptors and artists. You can take a map near the main entrance. - Thomas VOakland, CAWe were surprised by a cleaned-up facade after some sand blasting. Maybe it was just the schedule? Maybe it was for the Olympics? Either way, the big bold church has never looked better, and since it sits at a crossroads, many tourists are likely to pass by to enjoy it. - This Place is full of history with stunning views down Champs Elysees, the Tour Eiffel, Invalides and Jardin des Tuileries. So it's definitely a must-see.

* This is extremely well- located in the very center of Paris
* It marks the very historical exact location of the guillotine of the French Revolution of 1789
* Large and impressive archeological artifact from ancient Egypt, festooned with hieroglyphics
CONS
* In the middle of a horrendous and constantly busy hectic traffic circle area
* Difficult to access and be close next to it
* The area seems to always be under some kind of construction

... because it is so central and historic and iconic. On this visit, I didn't try to get onto the island where the obelisk stands.

... to be at the arc de Triomphe and to ascend to the top. i didn't explore the Champs Elysees- i didn't do that in 2019, and that was enough for me then

Of course I would return to the Arc de Triomphe again

While there is still some high end shopping here, much of that has moved on and been replaced by offices. There are a couple of grand hotels and the lovely Champs Elysee Theater. Sad that the audio kept telling us that the room contents were in other museums. Fine view over the city. Great to find a.
