Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- bcheongShanghai, China48,658 contributionsCame here for a congress. The meeting rooms snd service are generally ok. Some shops here and there. But not enough sitting areas, cafes and restaurants. You have to go next door to Hyatt hotelWritten 14 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BUGAJSKI V1 contributionIt was very good ! The Music was perfect, we spend a very good night, with a very good dj! - Nigel BWakefield, UK894 contributionsBeautiful old theatre showing An American in Paris which was appropriate. Not cheap at 109 euros a ticket but good. The theatre is refurbished with good views over the river from the bar area. Internal signage is lacking but you manage.Written 1 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LouisaSurfside, FL13 contributionsThe performance at this venue was excellent. The venue itself needed air conditioning, an organized line at the bar & a way to get to the side balcony seats that doesn't involve walking through a row of people to gain access. It is a beautiful concert space in a beautiful neighborhood in Paris & I loved the experience !!Written 15 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cynthia TMandeville, LA56 contributionsWe attended a Helene Segara concert in this theater. There are two levels of balconies and we sat in the first level because previous reviewers had said people on the floor had to stand, which turned out to be the case. The seats were good and not uncomfortable and we could clearly see the stage. One funny thing happened: An usher showed us to our seats and then waited. She said something to me but my rusty French didn't pick it up. It turns out that she was waiting for a tip! In any. event, it's a fun theater to visit. A metro stop is across the street, so it's very convenient.Written 10 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dennis VAlkmaar, The Netherlands75 contributionsThe place is a nice one. It feels a bit 19 hundreds industrial like, so if you are into that kind of thing this is a great place.
The bars were limited on stock and in choice but that's ok: you do not go there for the drinks but for the show.
One thing that is desperately needed is an airconditioning. We were there on a nice day in April and the heat was unbelievable. I cannot imagine what it would be like in July or August.
Next to that the staff hardly spoke English. In a venue where a lot of foreign bands perform, attracting fans from all over the world, this is a serious disadvantage.
Otherwise: nice place!
But a nice place after allWritten 11 April 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Charon666San Francisco, CA211 contributionsThe concerts are relatively infrequent, but of high quality. (55-minute 12:30 concerts, unreserved seats, are more frequent and worthwhile if you're in the neighborhood.)
Beware--if you don't elect to print out your own tickets, you have to get them from FNAC or Carrefour, which is unlikely to be convenient.
Often concerts are on Wednesday nights, when the Museum is open late, so you can see the art before the concert. Or, same for the 12:30.Written 22 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MelvylOaxaca, Mexico79 contributionsWe attended a concert here featuring three young harpsichordists playing concertos by Bach. Similar to, but smaller than the fMous Salles Cortot and Pleyel, it is an ideal place for chamber music and other such small scale performances. Nice lobby, decent bathrooms, and good acoustics. Recommendation: buy tickets for the cheap seats upstairs - you can hear just as well, and see things much better.Written 24 March 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Charon666San Francisco, CA211 contributionsThis is a small venue, but highly respectable and decades old. It gives you marginal musical performers, generally in recitals.
In our case, it gave us the worst concert-going experience I can remember.
We arrived at 7:50 for the 8:30 piano recital of Sylvain Gettler, because seats were unreserved (which I anyway detest). Gradually, around 25 people--very few--lined up behind us. At 8:35, I was able to persuade my companion that we should leave.
There were no lights on inside the entrance at any time. There was no notice on the door. They had not e-mailed me, though they had my e-mail address. The concert had been cancelled. A non-event, if you looked the next day at the Cortot web site or that of the presenter (which in this case was the performer).
I wrote irate e-mails to both Cortot and the presenter, pointing out that they had stolen my money and intended to report them to the Police. Cortot did not reply! The performer said he had been suddenly taken ill, and said he would refund my money. I'm not counting on that.
This conduct by Cortot is inexcusable and damnable. They shouldn't be in the business. Standing in the cold isn't worth paying for.Written 20 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Entrance fee is only €3 with a flyer and there's a cloakroom which is handy too.Written 12 August 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
