Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Nick PierreHyeres, France16 contributionsIt is a great place to stop for a little while and rest your feet after having a long walk around the beautiful Latin neighborhood because of its location in the heart of Paris and the Latin Quarter. A momentary escape from the noise and bustle of the city.Written 5 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul WBerkeley, UK251 contributionsWhat a beautiful park this is, an old gypsum quarry transformed into a stunning park. It is a National park and so free of charge to enter. There are some magnificent specimen trees as you meander along the paths. During our three days in Paris following Disney we visited this park twice.Written 4 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Green M13 contributionsGorgeous! If you've been to the High Line in NYC this feels similar. It's much smaller, but worthwhile to visit. Best time of year might be springtime.Written 29 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Codiak!Abbotsford, Canada12,224 contributionsYou know what the French do well? They enjoy their parks. Any green space you encounter is filled with people relishing each other’s company while having a picnic — real food, not greasy bagged fast food — doing yoga, jogging, or just sitting on a bench taking in nature.Written 4 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - geelongexpatMelbourne, Australia1,245 contributionsLovely park with immaculate gardens. Plenty of people enjoying the sunshine. Very dog friendly too. The public toilets could be cleaned more regularly though.Written 15 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas VOakland, CA17,770 contributionsThe zoo is here, a good one, and some left over buildings from an international expo. A big castle, worth visiting, and some pretty lakes where one can rent a row boat. A big expanse with lots of room for biking, running, hiking or a picnic, all accessible by the Metro or bus. On the eastern edge of the city.Written 30 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Josue CNew Haven, CT512 contributionsParc du Champ de Mars is nice place to get pictures of the Eiffel Tower. It is a long park the takes you from the Le Grand Palais Ephemere museum to the Eiffel Tower. On my visit the park looked pretty nice, pathways were cleared, the grass field were fenced off, seems like they were trying to regrow the grass. I took a stroll at night, and the park has probably the best view of the Eiffel Tower, you can catch the light show, on the top of the hour, take photos and selfies, just an amazing view. Overall, I think that Pars du Champ de Mars is good place to visit, you can walk towards the Eiffel Tower or take pictures.Written 4 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kentgwashburnSanta Cruz, CA72 contributionsWe chose Porte Maillot Metro. Bad idea. That whole area is completely torn up for the new tramway extension in advance of ‘24 Olympics. Porte Dauphine much better with just a bit of detouring. We are inveterate walkers and were tired by end of day.
Parc’s famous formal rose garden was being carefully groomed for the rose expo this weekend, June 3-4. A nice selection of roses blooming there but nowhere near the height I had expected. The chateau itself closed off in the midst of a major remodel, the rest of the grounds as beautiful as ever. Peonies & irises especially.
And can you beat the price of entry? Almost free, but not quite! Modest numbers of guests present. Tourist hordes absent, perhaps because public transit doesn’t take you to the doorstep.Written 1 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is amazing that such a big open and wooded space exists a short walk from the Eiffel Tower!Written 3 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Seaside483407981281 contributionIt is a good place to visit, to picnic and see youngsters practicing their dancing. During the summer, you have open-air cinema (for free), and you also have the cité the science that you can visit, and a playing ground for children.Written 14 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. ADVICE
If you are there, then enjoy itWritten 26 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Pernilla E3 contributionsMade a visit here with friends and loved openness of this venue. All of the orangeries were open for us to just stroll through and explore. The plants are lovely and the old contstruction of the green houses really beautiful. However, they should really rethink the amount of birds in that small cage. That does that rhyme well with this age to treat living creatures like that. Was also missing a café of some sort to dit down and enjoy the atmosphere, but maybe we just missed that? All in all well worth the visit and would go back again.Written 3 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas VOakland, CA17,770 contributionsThis is a very pretty little park at the west end of Ile de la Cite, down below Pont Neuf. Great place to sit and admire the river and bridge views, look up at the Louvre. When the river is very high, it gets flooded.Written 4 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
