Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is a shame that it is being rebuilt due to the fire so we did not get the usual experience, but it doesn’t undo how stunning this building is, there is a viewing stage with raked seating at the front

The Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre was an incredible experience. We visited at sunset, and the view was breathtaking, making it feel truly romantic. Although it was crowded, the atmosphere was lively, adding to the charm. Be prepared for lots of stairs, but it's worth it for the stunning panorama of Paris!

We purchased tickets online for our own self-guided tour of Sainte-Chapelle as soon as we arrived because we had not pre-booked. It would not have mattered anyway because the queues are long and very confusing. If you arrive without a ticket, IMMEDIATELY go online and purchase a ticket for a specified entry time, especially if you’ve purchased the Paris City Pass. There are lines for those with tickets showing entry on the hour: 10, 11, 12, 1, etc. and a separate line for those with tickets showing entry on the half-hour 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, etc. There were many confused people jogging from one line to the next because there is no clear direction. That being said, DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR!
The building is absolutely spectacular, the architecture stunning, the stained glass is absolutely breathtaking and the combined effect is absolutely transporting.

Wow!!!! This place is absolutely stunning, it's impressive from the outside but as soon as you walk in it takes your breath away. Thwr3 was an option for a further tour but sadly it was sold out when we visited but worth every penny to look around inside.

We were surprised by a cleaned-up facade after some sand blasting. Maybe it was just the schedule? Maybe it was for the Olympics? Either way, the big bold church has never looked better, and since it sits at a crossroads, many tourists are likely to pass by to enjoy it. A little dark inside, from the Napoleon era.

The construction works are still ongoing an there is no entry into the interior but there are a lot of information of the restoration works and history about the cathedral scattered around the front of the cathedral. It is free to stop by and appreciate the exterior. The side and back are unfortunately blocked off at the time of visit.

Grand old church. Highlight for me was the massive pipe organ. The spiral staircases are also fantastic. People still pray here so it is advised to keep the noise down. A nice bit of peace and quiet.

Lesser known church despite being the third largest in Paris. Great example of Baroque architecture. Free entry, take your time, but be respectful as it remains an active church.

The height of the interior of this gothic cathedral is impressive. We sat for a while to admire it all. They have installed a light show here, so that is something to come back to. This has been the parish church for the market area.

The church was stunningly beautiful but the memorial to the 11,000 transported from this church to Auschwitz by the Nazis broke my heart in two. I read the names of the children represented her, between the ages of 18 mo. and the age of six, to remember them and all who died.

My twin brother Stephen and I were enjoying beers sat outside a cafe bar on Place Du Tertre and as a lovely backdrop was the beautiful Eglise Saint Pierre De Montmartre .
Eglise Saint Pierre De Montmartre is the 2nd oldest church in Paris ,the oldest is Abbey De Saint Germain Des Pres ,Eglise Saint Pierre De Montmartre dates from 1133 and what we see today is all that remains of the church that was once part of an abbey complex ,the rest being destroyed during the French Revolution ,it's an evocative looking church ,so photogenic and very popular with tourists ,it's a church to most definitely check out if you're in this area of Montmartre and found along Rue Du Mont Cenis.

Not a very large cathedral - it is the soldiers' church, for the retired soldiers who live in the Invalides. Impressive display of military flags and banners. Like other displays in the Army Museum in the Invalides, there are explanations provided in English.

One of Paris' oldest churches, Saint Julien Le Pauvre is now a place of worship for Greek Catholics. Step inside its interior and you're almost transported east, with beautiful icons glowing in the dim light.

This is a very old parish church in an old part of town, next to the old food market area. The neighborhood originally housed lots of religious institutions as well as modest apartment buildings. Later it was invaded by big mansions, embassies and government functions, and most recently by very high-end shopping. This church still functions as a parish church. You will see weddings here.
