Seating is cramped but a private little table for two by the window was lovely once we squeezed in. It might be uncomfortable for a very large person or someone who dislikes people in close proximity while eating. There is no commentary of the sights as you glide past but lovely window and glass ceiling to view everything. Our boat was all inside seating, not rooftop as depicted in the ad, but a good choice for a cool winter day. With exchange, price in Canadian was $300 for two. The food at each stop kept getting better and better - croissants, cheese, wine, macarons, chocolate and more! Everything was so delicious. Our guide, Catherine, did a great job guiding us through the streets of Le Marais and sharing fun tidbits about each of the stops that we went to. She also provided recommendations on additional places to visit in the Le Marais area which was very helpful. - Herewego!!!Barcelona, Spain65 contributionsLet me start off by saying that this tour is not for those who have mobility issues. There is a tremendous amount of walking, which I appreciate, and hills and stairs. If you have any mobility issues, I would strongly suggest choosing a different tour.
Julie, our tour guide was simply amazing! We had a small group of five, which was perfect for the tour as Julie was able to communicate with most us all very well and provide the needed explanation and history of the area. Unbeknownst to us we didn’t realize how rich in history this area was.
From the artist to the culinary geniuses, it is simply an amazing area. I would strongly suggest you place this on your things to do. Even with the inclement weather we had an amazing time. Julie is to be commended for her patience and her attention to detail as she truly made this experience amazing. I also have to give a shout out to one other individual who was not an official part of the tour, but took on a tremendous responsibility. She took on the responsibility of translating in Spanish for a woman who accidentally booked this tour, thinking that it was Spanish speaking. She was patient, conscientious, and Absolutely giving of her time. - Vicky8 contributionsOur tour of Montmartre with Kevan was so fun! Skip lunch for this tour because you will eat SO MUCH GOOD FOOD!!! The places are paced out well so there’s plenty of walking between eating, and you learn about the neighborhood along the way.
I like that we started with two sweet treats before the beef burgundy because I think it would’ve been a lot of sweets at the end, so great call on the itinerary.
Kevan was an amazing guide and took so many good photos of me and my mom! He also answered all of our questions about life in Paris and France in general.
I would highly recommend this tour and would definitely do it again. There was an 8 Euro charge for a bottle of sparkling water, and that was okay. I paid with a 20 Euro note, and the man conducting the transaction told me that "service was included" in what I had already paid, and did I want any change. I told him that I would like my 12 Euro change back. He never brought it, so before we left the boat, I asked for my change. He looked at me as if I had taken milk from his baby and gave me the 12 Euros. I'm always generous with my tipping, even in places like France where tipping is not expected. I always round up for taxis and often give more than the usual amount. I did not expect this kind of treatment and was disappointed. She was professional and very knowledgeable about not only the food we were sampling, but the history and culture of Saint-Germaine. Ate good food and learned a lot along the way. We were in the front of the ship, so it was quieter up there, and there were rose petals spread on the table and other little touches like that. We had great views as we were right next to a window.
