We were on the Discovery visit, which included a picnic style lunch, an extensive tasting of four champagnes, and meeting her husband, Alexis, who runs the vineyards, and his mother, Florence, who runs the busines...

I have been to a lot of wineries, vineyards, and distilleries and this by far was the best experience.
We arrived at 10:05 and although the guard at the gate had our names, he told us we could not come into the winery until 10:15.

After the tour we had lunch near by and were picked up at 2pm to start our half day tour of other smaller wineries with Cris Events (also highly recommend).
Wonderful presentation, to tour the vast chalk caverns and tunnel system under the vineyards and streets was a delight.

Taittinger offers guided tours of the winery and tasting of their very popular champagne.
This included a superb Californian Avant-Garde Carneros 2012 from a vineyard now owned by Taittinger.

One of the only wineries we found that would let us do a tasting without taking a tour.

You can walk among the vineyards, then get a free tour and/or tasting at about a dozen small houses, who make champagne from the grapes you were just walking through.
We were met by Patrick (Roger's son?) who took on a fascinating tour of the surprisingly large winery.
