Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

David was an excellent guide through Burgundy and very knowledgeable about the wines and each individual vineyard, estate and plot. We had 2 hours of free time in Beaune which was perfect for lunch and a quick visit of the Hotel Dieu (note that it was closed from 1230 to 2pm, so we were a little rushed but still enjoyed the highlights). Transportation was comfortable.

We have done many wine tours in Napa, so I was expecting a similar experience. But we were fascinated to learn about the history of winemaking in Burgundy, starting with the Romans, the monks, the French Revolution which has resulted in hundreds of small vineyards. Ann, our tour guide, also did a great job in explaining how wines are labeled - village, vineyard, cru - and we finished the day with a fantastic tasting.

Emily was very knowledgeable and took time to answer many questions. Excellent experience for the first-time taster as well as those with more wine knowledge.

Such an interesting tour seeing the Burgundy wine villages. The guide was passionate, clear and fun. We came away with a greatly improved understanding of and enthusiasm for Burgundy, its wine and especially Nuits St Georges and Beaune. Merci!

We had the best experience with Manu.
Initially, we thought the price was a bit much, but it was definitely worth it.
Manu is very knowledgeable, passionate about Burgundy and its wines, friendly and warm with a great sense of humour.
He had strong relationships with the people we met along the visits and accordingly was able to cater our experience to our taste accordingly.
We had a memorable day in Burgundy with Manu and would highly recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed our "class" and his knowledge of the wines of Burgundy. This was a great introduction to actually taking a trip to a winery. He even helped us get transportation after the event.

This self guided tour was perfect. We could start when we wanted and go at our own pace. Great directions and great explanation at the stops. Very easy to use and playing the game was super fun!

Omgosh, this was such a lovely and education event. Our host is so knowledgeable about the wines and cheeses and offered great insight into how to pair certain varieties together for the most success. She was also kind and engaging and took the time to answer questions. We never felt rushed. It was a great experience.

I really liked the trip. I decided to make it a solo trip cause that way I could properly listen to the audio and the historical values. It took me 2 hours to finish the trip. I learnt a lot. I am about to visit the museum soon. I really wish there could be more audio guides like this only in Dijon for us solo trip lovers. There are many other places in Dijon and also surrounding Dijon that I would have loved to explore with the help of such audio guides.

Nice idea, we had a good time discovering the city of Dijon.
We would have liked to have audio explanation instead of written ones.

I would like to say that this experience greatly exceeded my expectations. My goal was to see the different communes and taste representative wines from them, specifically to be able to compare whites from Chassagne, Puligny and Meursault side by side. Thomas, our guide, was superb. He picked up my wife and I promptly and the van was clean and comfortable. He was not only knowledgeable and personable but he arranged each tasting stop to be individually modified and tailored to us based on our ongoing discussions. At our first stop he arranged the side by side tasting of the whites from the three communes along with a Batard-Montrachet and and also some superb reds. The wines we tasted that day ran the gamut from village wines, through premier crus and grand crus covering the Cote de Beaune and the Cote de Nuits. Many had sufficient age (back to 2006) to appreciate the evolution with time. It was a marvelous wine tour through the Cote d'Or.It was all I could have asked for and more. Our thanks to Authentica and to Thomas.

    This was excellent.
Our guide was friendly, knowledgable and interesting. Her Engish was excellent.
We were given a running commentary which included a brief history of Dijon and the Duchy of Burgundy, were shown the sights in context and shown things we otherwise wouldn't have discovered ourselves, and given helpful recommendations about things to do and see.
She collected us at our hotel, and one unexpected bonus was that she started the tour by taking us through the hotel, part of which was built in the 13th or 14th century (I don't remember which), talking about its construction, layout, history and original function. The original part was still largely intact. It was a good start, and the high standard continued.
