Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Keith RShepton Mallet, UK7 contributionsWent into the shop as my wife loved the Jewellery she could see in the window. What a surprise it was to find the finest selection of Scotch Whiskey I have found outside of Scotland! Ally, the owner, was only too pleased to discuss all the types of Scotch available and give me free tasters! Whilst I was drinking, she was more than happy to peruse the vast array of foods, condiments, jewellery and fashion accessories that the shop stocked. If it's Gaelic you want, this is one not to miss!Written 2 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mlpeterson152 contributionsIn a recent trip to Dinan, one of my favorite places in France, we came across a beautiful little specialty foods shop that had selection of local products from the Brittany region. My husband and I love to cook (and eat), so it was very difficult to choose between the interesting spices, pastes, meats, oils, etc. Most of the products were packaged to take away which was great for us to be able to take home. I also have a bit of a sweet tooth, and they had one of my favorite sweets which are essentially fruit jellies that are hard to find in the US. These were wonderful - not too sweet and a lot of real fruit flavor.
We were fortunate enough to meet the husband and wife that own the shop, and they were very sweet to show us the range of things they had, where they came from along with information about the small local producers. While I dabble in French, they spoke very good English, so it was easy to learn about what they had available. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone, it makes a nice break from the standard tourist fare that you find in and around Dinan.Written 5 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not like any other cookie I've ever had before. They even made it all the way home in one piece in my backpack! Check out the Craquamel - oh, my good! They also have a yummy caramel au beurre sale - salted butter caramel. Try Breton cookies and treats and you'll want to take some home to your friends.Written 7 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PhillyFEngland, UK45 contributionsOff the beaten track location, surrounded by orchards. The museum itself is family run and takes up 3 rooms of an old farmhouse. Unlike the previous reviewer, we found the exhibits really quite interesting! Included in the price is a tasting of the ciders and spirits they produce. They also have a small shop, where we bought a case of demi-sec cider and some cups. We found their service very friendly and helpful. Worth a detour, if you like your cider.Written 15 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
