Musee Memoires 39-45 Plougonvelin
#1 of 195 Museums in Brittany
Yes another museum about World War II, but this one is unique It’s unique because of the approach: Inside the bunker, through several sceneries, you are invited to feel what the day to day life of the people was:...
Situated in a German WW2 5 story bunker, the museum tells a story using first hand accounts of some of the local people and German soldiers involved backed up with WW2 exhibits and reconstructions.

There are two art museums that you should not miss if you come to Britany: The arts museum in Pont- Aven and Leclerc in Landerneau.

Interesting museum village and an excellent bistro

A wonderful museum with many beautiful details
Also an important part of the museum was closed for renovation, a part that I had really wanted to see, however, the rest of the museum is very interesting with models of the ships used by the French India Company...

One of the prettiest museums I have visited right in the heart of the old city the building with it's modern extension is an oasis of calm and beauty.
The museum is close to the cathedral and has been modernised with taste so that one can walk around with pleasure among interesting paintings by famous painters such as Lucien Simon, Paul Gauguin, Emile Bernard, M...

Located in a former bishop's palace and next to the cathedral, this fantastic museum showcases Breton history, archaeology, furniture, traditional costumes, and a great poster exhibit.
We loved the whole museum, and would recommend anyone visit it if in Quimper.
Cite des Telecoms Pleumeur Bodou
#15 of 195 Museums in Brittany
True there is a museum and the kids enjoyed learning about various innovations in telecommunications.
The rest of the museum traces the history of telecommunications, from morse code to today.
#16 of 195 Museums in Brittany
The museum has an interesting mix of art and technology spanning five or more centuries of its "modern era", but it was already a Roman fort in AD 400.
Great museum visit
Musee de Pont-Aven Pont-Aven
#18 of 195 Museums in Brittany
Few local museums demonstrate the quality, scope and intelligence of the exhibits housed in this well lit and well constructed venue.
Many museums are a hodgepodge of collections.
#19 of 195 Museums in Brittany
From the learning and inspiration point of view, it was one of the best museums I've ever been into.
The Eric Tabarly Museum holds a fantastic treasure trove of interactive displays, media, objects and photos which all take you into the wet and wild world of sailing.

This was our second visit to the museums and we went again thanks to the badgering if our teenage daughter.
Once inside, it was a fabulous museum giving a really fascinating history of the local area, WW2, Cold War etc. before giving an amazing walk through French Naval sub with audio (in English).
#23 of 195 Museums in Brittany
This is a most interesting museum and gives a good insight into French Breton heritage of country living.
Quirky crafts museum
#24 of 195 Museums in Brittany
There are lovely views and the buildings and museum are most interesting.
#25 of 195 Museums in Brittany
A good art museum definitely worth visiting.
... few first-floor rooms are thematic, which never works unless for a very specialized purpose or dedicated exhibition, as opposed to the generalist overview presentation that a museum like Rennes needs to show.

If you buy the combined ticket as we did, access to the diving and rescue museum in K1 is included and well worth the hour or so it took to get round.
The other museums are not a patch on this, especially the sous-marine!

And your ticket is also good for the town art museum - valid for one year!
Combine it with the town museum for joint ticket.
