Cook Dordogne at Le Chevrefeuille Saint-Cyprien

Allowing each of us to help in preparation, Ian used a hands-on method of teaching and it was sheer delight as he made complicated dishes seem doable and alternated cooking and eating exquisite Perigord food.
We came away from the experience with a wealth of information regarding the details of food prep, tools of the trade and details in the sauces, oils, salts and equipment to make the experience memorable.
Chateau Feely Saussignac

It was so good to have such a personal experience, and Caro is a fantastic host! it is great to learn about the organic winery, to learn how to taste the (delicious) wines and try them with beautifully matched food.
They organized a tour of the vineyard explaining all technical details, varieties and value added of organic and biodynamic production, before preparing one of the best wine and food pairing sessions I've ever had.

Vince and his wife then prepared for us a sensational French banquet with locally sourced food which was incredible accompanied with some of Humphrey's rosé and white wine.
All in all we had a brilliant day and it was great value for money, but be prepared to drink lots of wine!!
Chateau Lestevenie Gageac-et-Rouillac

We sought out this winery based on the recommendations of Martin Walker (author of Bruno Chief of Police series) - in a recent article in the wine and food section of the New York Times.
Back in the UK, we will drink our Chateau Lestevenie wine with many happy memories.
