Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Modern museum techniques used to tell a centuries long story of those who left Ireland, usually out of desperation. Like my grandparents. It's more than just the potato famine, people! Well worth 2 hours.

The museum is a"must-see". The ancient artifacts, including weapons, gold, etc. paint a picture of Irish culture through the ages.

What a beautiful park to walk through on a sunny day in Dublin! This is right in the centre so very easy to get to. Definitely put this on your list if you are visiting Dublin.

President of Ireland’s home and the US Ambassador's home are in Phoenix Park. This park, at 1752 acres, is twice the size of New York’s Central Park. Park contains the
Dublin Zoo, Wellington Monument, Magazine Fort and numerous sports fields. The two main gates are open 24 hours a day.

Lovely visit yesterday. So much to see in the glasshouses and the grounds and enjoyed all the birds visiting too. Friendly staff, free entry with just a small car park charge. Would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. I am a 57 year old solo traveler and I absolutely loved the zoo. The grounds were very clean and plenty of garbage cans. There were plenty of trees for shade, if needed, and enough spots to stop for a snack or a lunch. Most of the animals were out and seemed to be well taken care of. Some of them come up real close. My only complaint would be not enough signs directing you to specific animals that you were looking for. I spent almost one hour looking for the elephants so did domeone else I bumped into. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the Dublin Zoo especially if you have young children. I am an older woman and I loved it.

A visit gives a real insight into an often neglected part of the history of Dublin. The tour guides are enthusiastic and informative. The building has been renovated and restored to present to the two sides of the steets history - the landed gentry and the overcrowded tenements. The story of the building was told in a realistiv way; it did not over romanticise the past or wallow in its undoubted, at times, misery. The fact that the building was lived in up to the 70's means that for some of us it is also part of our living memory. The project to capture people's memories is hugely important and will provide material for lovers of history long into the future. The chat over refreshments at the end was also useful in drawing out long forgotten childhood memories.
All conerned are to be congratulated on providing a great experience.

Take up to 1 hour to visit the cathedral with the self guided tour and audio devices. Better book in advance on the website.

The guided tour of the ship is the most vivid history lesson imaginable. Our guide Terry really brought the history and the story of the ship to life. He was very patient, answered all the questions, included the children and even took photos on request. Thank you, Terry - also for the film tip! Hard as it is to imagine the harsh times back then, with a tour on the Jeanie Johnston you get a small glimpse of how it must have been. I would visit the Jeanie Johnston again anytime!

The tour of Goldenbridge cemetery is a fascinating insight to a pocket of history. I live nearby but never knew just how interesting the place was, the famous people buried there, its links to glasnevin cemetary and the rich stories connected to the cemetery to the history of Dublin from penal times to modern day. Phelim was an excellent guide and combined story telling, literature and humour to make the tour engaging from start to finish

Loved visiting this place! It has a diverse offering of exhibits, covering Irish military history, jewelry, furniture, and fashion as well as a collection of Asian artifacts and art. The staff were wonderful, asking us our interests and how much time we had, then guiding us in the right direction to make the most of our experience. Being at Collins Barracks and learning military history along with pictures of the barracks through time was pretty cool. The military portion of the visit was the best, with some interactive exhibits and interesting vignettes of events.

This museum gives a fascinating view into the past. With a desp lady that speaks to you with the name "love" this already looked like a promising museum. It has interesting videos that look like they came straight from medieval 2 total war spy scenes(2006). Truly a sight to behold with everyone including the staff having a wonderful time. The statues that talk truly add to the experience especially the one bloak that is moaning and farting as if he is mastrubating while taking a dump truly give the medival experience that we went for
