Greenock Cemetery
#2 of 20 Sights & Landmarks in Greenock
It is well maintained and was once the largest cemetery in Europe. It has well laid out paths for walking and also driving, the views across the river from the highest point are stunning.
Many grave stones go all the way back to the 1800's, easy to manage paths and the view from the top of the cemetery is worth it.
The Beacon Arts Centre

Although the large crowds meant a bit of a wait for our interval drinks it was more than worth it to take the time and enjoy the amazing views across the River Clyde.
I often pop in for lunch after a swim at the Waterfront, the view is spectacular and I've always had tasty soup and good service.

Yes, you have a bit of climbing to do (as with most views) which is just part of the experience but you are rewarded (weather permitting) with views up and down the Clyde river and also to the peaks of Ben Lomond...
... back from the Scottish Highlands to Manchester Airport, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the entire trip -- a fabulous castle with stunning views across the Clyde and over 1,500 years' of history!
