This was a great tour- we'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the different distilleries on and on the way to Islay (especially for first timers). The tour was good value for money and took the stress out of planning the trip. All the accommodation was great and we didn't come across any issues throughout. The organiser seemed very willing to accommodate our interests within the premade tour, so anyone who feels that the itinerary is lacking something should get in touch beforehand. Overall great experience!

Stewart was lovely. He was knowledgeable, easy to talk to and gracious.

So grateful to have found someone who was willing to do a custom, private tour for one.

    Stewart was a delight!

Our tour guide Robert (Rob) had a lot of great stories to tell; very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited. He made sure there were regular stops on the way and there is plenty of time to take a boat tour on Loch Lomond. The Trossach National Park is a sight to behold and I very much enjoyed being able to visit Stirling Castle and learn about it’s extensive history.

This was an amazing experience. The host was very polite, picked me and my friend up in the city centre. We felt like VIPs travelling in a black Mercedes minibus. Although the route to the site goes through mostly on a highway, we thoroughly enjoyed the ride, was not too fast, so we could still gaze out to the passing fields dotted with grazing animals.
Once we arrived, we went for a three hour walk in the forest, alongside the Clyde river bank. The walk is quite easy as there’s a path that you are following and Ferenc pointed out some beautiful flowers and interesting moss formations alongside the path.
We stopped at several lookouts to take some beautiful photos of the waterfalls on the river. Ferenc offered to take some amazing photos from different angles, with the waterfall behind us. He was very knowledgeable about the area, took us to the other side of the river where not a lot of people go to so we could even have a better view of the area.
We had some interesting conversations with him, about Scotland, the Experiences he does, his travels and of course, the scuba diving he has done around the world. He is a very interesting person to spend the afternoon with. Very energetic and friendly personality. Feels like you have known him for a while, which made the Experience even more enjoyable.
The place he takes you to is just breathtaking, definitely worth a visit which we couldn’t have done it on our own, not without a car for sure. Hope to go to one of his other Experiences in the future.

Glasgow's such a great city. It was our first time there, made even more fun with the Treasure Hunt. A really good way to discover Glasgow's best bits.

I had a fantastic time on this tour with Stuart (in a kilt). The bus was comfortable and the small sized group was nice. We travelled at a good pace and spent appropriate times at our stops, especially as it is Winter and there are minimal day light hours. Because of this, we did not see all the stops listed on the site (had to pick between Wallace Monument and Glenfinnan Viaduct), though it still felt like we tried to maximise our time. The photo stops were one of my highlights - the stunning scenery was something you simply cannot absorb if on public transport, and much harder to try and navigate on your own if you have a car. Stuart was great at sharing history and knowledge to us for the entire tour, which was another highlight that I really appreciated. As soon as we set off in the morning, Stuart was sharing stories, and he continued to do this up to the end of the trip, even as we were driving in the dark back to Edinburgh. I felt his knowledge really enhanced the trip experience and I learnt so much from him!

Some feedback I would share would be about maximising daylight hours in Winter - I felt we could have begun the tour earlier in the day (for each day) to really maximise daylight, perhaps an option on the second day which could be offered to the group (who are happy to wake up earlier) if the first day start time is not negotiable. The hostel option provided by the company was certainly cheap, though quite dilapidated and small (but for only one night, guests can decide for themselves if that is okay!). The only other slight disappointment I had was not being able to visit the interior of Eilean Donan castle. I had specifically chosen this weekend as I had looked up the relevant websites and confirmed it would be open to the public, only to be told on the day that in fact it was closed due to a wedding. However, as we walked around the castle, we realised they were accepting visitors, by which time it was too late to buy a ticket to visit. If the staff could double check their facts again this situation possibly could have been avoided.

However, overall this tour was excellent. I saw lots of beautiful Scotland and learned lots from Stuart. Would highly recommend this tour as a quick option to see some of the highlands!

My friend surprised me with this adventure and I must admit this was once in a lifetime experience. I never ever was curious before visiting a forest at night time in the dark, but now I understand what I missed out on.

We drove through some dark narrow country roads which had already an eerie feeling to it, but then we arrived to the forest and went on foot. The guide gave us some pretty powerful head torches which made things easier to navigate between the trees.

The exciting part started when we had to descend into a gorge in the dark. It gave me a fright first when I saw the downward route but our guide was super experienced in terms of showing us every single and I mean Every single step. Like he knew the place with closed eyes or something. It was just so cool.
Once we arrived to the gorge, you could hear the water gushing down between the rocks and just the sheer silence that went with it. We walked through the water barefooted and we spotted some really interesting looking fish, almost looked like a group of tiny eels. The biggest surprise of all was hearing some squeaky sounds and then some really cute otters appeared out of nowhere. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I would have never of thought seeing so many wildlife in the middle of the night.

So so worth it ! I can highly recommend it as it is such a unique experience. Thank you and I hope to come back in the future.

We had the best time! The drive was pleasant and we drove though beautiful Scottish countryside scenery. The hike starts out going across some fields where we could see the waterfall in the distance. Ferenc pointed out heather and grouse during our trail. The hike was fantastic, the views spectacular and the air was fresh and clean. Ferenc's expertise was appreciated as he guided us down the trail to the base of the waterfall. He checked things out by going ahead and then coming back and telling us what we would do to be most safe. He gave us step by step directions when climbing down part of the waterfall and I always felt safe, even though it seemed very challenging at times.
Ferenc will take many amazing photos of you on this lovely adventure. It was by far the most fun and one of a kind experience I have had in the UK. I will definitely do this again and highly recommend Ferenc wherever her is available.

Spent a wonderful day touring and learning about Scotland from Stewart, who truly is a local Scot with a great passion for Scotland. Our tour group of 4, arrived by Emerald Princess and spent the day learning about the history of Greenock and the Clyde River. We also learned about the importance that the area had with respect to World War II. Our tour included learning about Sir William Wallace, Braveheart with visiting areas where he made history. As we spent the day with Stewart driving us about, he took us to monuments and view points, many of which motor coaches would not have access to. At the historical monuments and locations, Stewart would take quick group photos of us and then emailed them to us after the tour. Thank you Stewart for a GREAT day in Scotland!
