We decided to hop off our tour bus to visit here, not believing it was free entry! An absolute delight strolling along the many paths, the rockeries and ponds seeing wonderful rhododendrons and magnolias in flower and some with buds yet to burst. Tea and cake at the Terrace was lovely with a view over the gardens. Only downside was the glasshouse was closed, but as it was such a warm day, it may have been a blessing in disguise! Well worth the visit - you could spend hours here.

We brought our two children today on an impromptu day out and had one of the best days ever! My kids are 8 and 3 and both of them LOVED it! We didn’t manage the whole way round unfortunately due to having too much fun at the hills and wandering through some of the wooded areas. The whole place is so magical, my little boy said it was like being in a real life Alice in Wonderland. We visited the food truck which was delicious!! Really good choice of food for kids and fussy eaters. Cakes and coffee were brilliant! The gift shop is lovely! Really beautiful selection of kids toys and pocket money gifts. The animals were a lovely surprise - one of the donkeys in particular was so friendly my little girl just adored him! We spend around 5/6 hours here today and really didn’t want to leave - we’re already planning our next visit!!

We went here to visit the Royal Yacht Britannia but had time to wander round the centre and have coffee. It is a very spacious area with a good mix of shops. We were there early morning so it was quiet. Modern and clean with some good eateries.

We were in need of a last minute rainy day plan, which when everywhere required reservations due to COVID meant this was one of the only places available. There were 3 exhibitions on across the 4 floors when we visited, 2 of which were very modern without any explanatory guide or text to accompany them, but we really enjoyed the other (Charles Mackie) which took up the most of our 1 hour 15 minute visit at a relaxed pace. Nothing to complain about as the visit was free, but I would still prefer to revisit one of the other galleries ahead of here.

Not really a shopping centre to be honest. Just a collection of several shops on one floor of the train station (plus a food court below). Still a couple of high end shops and a small Sainsbury's.

Not a large market but has a good range of businesses & products, lovely location next to the castle and well arranged. Certainly worth a visit for both locals & tourists.

First visit on 20th August 2021 but will definitely be back. I have never had a nicer welcome to an Edinburgh gallery or attraction. Unprompted the young man greeted us, explained the set up of the exhibitions, advised where the toilets were and suggested the order we should walk round.

We had booked for the Brennan exhibition which was well laid out and interesting. The upper floor is a beautiful space where you can watch the weavers at work.

Pinks cafe gave us beautiful and reasonably priced food and again the staff were welcoming and helpful.

Well done to the young staff here who were busy but took time to help us. Their care about a young person with severe allergies was excellent. Top marks for getting this important part of hospitality right

A lucky find for lunch in Leith. We stumbled on this place by chance, initially for coffee and stayed on for food. The coffee could have been hotter, but the food from Rost was amazing - pheasant burger and venison burger both delicious and the best fries ever - crispy and So good with oregano seasoning. We will be back 😊

Harvey Nichols, Edinburgh is located on the beautiful and quiet St Andrew Square, it is a smaller version than the other ones. The collection displayed are less fashionable. The café on top was crowded on a Sunday. None of staff wore face covering. I wanted to do my nails on the ground floor, but was reluctant because non of the ladies were wearing face masks.
