What a fascinating place just across from the Guild Hall. We saw three fabulous exhibitions for the princely sum of £2.40 each.

The first exhibition, the tv comedy Derry Girls - which has taken the world by storm - and even had Ms Chelsea Clinton in a cameo role. And the line 'Protestants don't like Abba' that made me laugh aloud. Oh I've never met anybody who doesn't like ABBA.

Exhibition 2 The history of Derry from Stone Age about 10,000 years ago to date including a documentary film.

Exhibition 3 An Armada shipwreck with cannon and weapons recovered from the wreckage. It's a few hours to do the exhibitions seriously and the staff like all the citizens of this scarred city of survivors are so damn friendly and genuinely warm.

Of course I recommend it like I recommend staying in this city for at least 3 nights.

So much more than just a very pretty bridge. A symbol of hope for the future, of reconciliation. Joining two sides of a river and two sides of a divide.

There is a wealth of information for not just Derry - Londonderry but the surrounding areas of the Northwest of Northern Ireland.

Loved the city, full of interesting history old and recent. The museums and walking tours were fabulous. People incredibly friendly everywhere. Guild hall, Bogside and Tower museums were incredible. We were there for 3 days and not enough time to see everything.

Great self guided tour. The Derry Museum is a must see. Very informative. Provides a better understanding of what happened during those times and well as the history of how it started in the 18th and 19th centuries. An easy side trip for the day from Ballycastle or Belfast if you are not staying there.

St Columb’s Cathedral is in Derry, Northern Ireland. It is a very majestic cathedral that has served a city torn apart by politics. The cathedral is very close to the walled fortification of Derry and you will pass it if you are walking around the wall.
    Well worth a visit.

This is the beginning of the area of continuing dispute, just not violent right now. The New IRA is active and protestants still feel uncomfortable in this area.
