We went on Halloween night for a bit of spooky fun and the app was excellent and guided us without having to be on our phones. We found it moving, as well as frightening. James is brilliant and we feel like he was by our side as we went along! Would love to do an in person tour with him! 23 of us did the silent disco tour with Gordon and Beth for friends hen do. Everyone absolutely loved it even though a few of us were unsure before we started. Loads of people were joining in from the crowds and cheering us on.
Gordon was great and really engaging. Dave was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the city’s history and culture. He managed to cover all the key highlights within the time we had, providing fascinating insights and making the experience thoroughly enjoyable. We appreciated how well-paced and well-organized the tour was. It was the perfect way to explore Cardiff (even under the rain) in just two hours. If you are also a fan of Torchwood, he provided some insight into some aspects of that series. My daughter and I have done these before; it’s a great way of seeing somewhere new, getting to know your way around a new city and, it gets you moving after the journey!
The weather was shocking on the day we arrived and decided to do this quest but, it’s testament to the enjoyment, that we completed it anyway!
Some of the tasks were really tricky, some not so - it was a great mix and kept the kids occupied throughout. A winner!

Travelling on my own, I was delighted to meet the fellow tourers who all seemed equally happy to sample a wide variety of culinary delights from some small independent businesses. The tour has been intelligently designed with a perfect mix of sweet and savoury, walking, sitting and drinking! Our guide Sian, was knowledgeable about both all the food and her home town, and was great at including everybody in a helpful and friendly way. She clearly knows the city like the back of her hand, and here she takes you around Cardiff in a way no one else would. You will get to see many filming locations, a number of which are not referenced anywhere else, as well as some context for them, so that you always know where you are and what you are looking at. Sarah is an expert guide, and it shows.
I liked that I was able to take breaks from the tour whenever I wanted. It was very refreshing to be able to stop, walk into a shop or have a coffee, and continue the tour afterwards. It makes you feel more in control of your visit.
Perfect not only for fans of Doctor Who, but also for anyone who might like to discover the city in a new light. It was a lovely tour really enjoyed every bit of it. Our tour guide was really friendly and gave a nice experience.
