We only were able to have the highlights tour and paid for our tickets. Roger cam to collect is took us around the house. He explained the history of the house and made it very interesting. He certainly knew his stuff and was able to transfer this information to us. We spent about 40 minutes with him - well worth it.

Our dog likes to walk in the woods. Although a lot of rain recently the paths were surprisingly free of mud. Suspect this will alter as winter progresses.
A quiet day wildlife wise. However nice to be in the woods with Autumn colour.

Nice, small museum, some good facts though they were repeated a lot. Interesting & worth doing once at least, if you are a local

The River Severn flows from Shropshire through Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and into the Bristol Channel. By the time it reaches here it is very wide and there are two massive road bridges and a railway tunnel to get across.

There are plenty of places along the way to walk beside the river and enjoy the scenery. When I visited there were people in boats large and small on the river as well.

A good place to visit for your wellbeing.

I tend to visit Croome often as I live locally. Staff are friendly and food is nice. It’s important to understand that the house has been used for several different purposes prior to the national trust taking over. So it lacks furniture and some might say atmosphere as an aristocratic summer home. Also due to how the house and surrounding buildings have been separated the walled garden is separate, so there is an admission fee when it is open.
The parkland is dog friendly but not off lead friendly which is understandable.
I’ve encouraged family, friends snd colleagues to visit Croome as it is beautiful and as someone who works in healthcare, it’s great for walking around to switch off and recharge.
I would say it gets very busy on nice days early.
They have a couple of trampers (very sturdy mobility scooters), which you can pre book with notice. This allows people who have difficulty walking etc to still be able to enjoy the parkland.
I know several people have commented on her about the cafe staff etc…it is important to understand that quite a lot of them are volunteers, yes customer service is necessary but please bare that in mind.
If you have any queries about Croome they are always very helpful when you call the main office or email.

The regimental museum is a fantastic museum, inside the town museum and art gallery. There are no signs anywhere directing you to the regimental museum though and we had to ask for directions.
The museum covers the history of the regiment in its various incarnations and mergers to the present day. It’s a mix of broad history and personal anecdotes with plenty of exhibits to see as well. A fabulous and free museum but needs more signage so people know it’s there!

Lovely children’s park with bridge being build to cross the River Seven. The park has some interesting military history and a complicated to understand war memorial on the east side. A lovely children’s park, ponds and cycle paths make it perfect for small people. If you walk further west you get to the river Seven where you can walk down along the river in the racing grounds of pitchcroft - soon you will be able to use the new bridge to walk / ride over the river. Creat place for walking dogs, children and the like

Brilliant experience! I came to gin school with my daughter, and both James and Jack were absolutely fantastic. The setting was relaxing, and we had plenty of laughs with new friends. I learned a lot about the history of gin and tge owner / founder, we had a wonderful time. We made our own gin, enjoyed the delicious cheese board, and even purchased a few extra bottles. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality – we’ll definitely be back for the Gin and Jazz evening!

I dragged my reluctant wife to the walking tour sponsored by the visitors center. By the time we finished, she was very glad she went. It was about 1.7 hours through the historic downtown section of Worcester UK and it was informative, interesting, covered things you'd never find on your own and about the right amount of time.
Robert spoke well, really knew his stuff and kept a good pace. Just watch out for his umbrella!
As a first time visitor - I'd do it!
