From a historical point of view the building is fantastic,in particular the crypt and very friendly and welcoming volunteers.I was very impressed by the little exhibition, too.

Set in a tranquil garden with views across the Tyne Valley, this unassuming Northumbrian farmstead is the birthplace of famous artist and naturalist Thomas Bewick.
The view over the farmyard was lovely and we felt so relaxed in the beautiful surroundings.
