If you have any interest in gin and, frankly, even if you don’t, this is a delightful way to spend your afternoon. Nestled atop a bar overlooking bustling Portobello Rd, the space is intimate and charming, and you’ll learn so much about the history of gin-making and its impact on society. We enjoyed meeting fellow enthusiasts and had a delightful time sharing recipes and trying botanicals (Asparagus? Cardamom? Yes, please.) Jess was a fantastic guide and we so enjoyed her knowledge of all-things spirits. A fantastic time all around, and we have 2 unique recipes to tote back with us!

I always feel relieved to walk in this area after getting off the new Elisabeth Line or the Heathrow Express train at Paddington Station.

Great event too many police stopping people exit how they need to better toilets and they should not be placed on main road but sides of roads music should not stop at 8 pm don't care about event but residents more bins need to be available so trash can be placed in bins.

I went in to book a table for later that evening and the staff were amazing. Sat at the table and asked for 5 mins to choose, no problem. There was a big order nearby and staff said our order might take longer, but we were fine with that. Food, drinks, service were excellent. I only ate half my meal and took the leftovers home. I'm a fan. Good food, great staff. Don't tell everyone!

This cinema definitely has a unique vibe compared to modern ones. The architectural layout and decorations give it an old-timey feel, almost like stepping back into the last century.

The screen quality is surprisingly good—clear and crisp, with great sound. However, for a truly immersive experience, it's not as effective as a more modern cinema because the ceilings and walls are painted white, which doesn't create that dark, enveloping atmosphere.

But if you're a movie enthusiast looking for a different experience now and then, or if you want to make a special outing, it's worth a visit. Watching a movie here can be a unique and memorable way to enjoy films.

I have loved the cathedral and I’ve dreamed to have my baby boy baptised there , but I am very dissatisfied and disgusted with the treatment we received from the priest and their staff members 😰
I have booked the church paying the deposit since December, for the baptism to take place on the 21 st August and also I needed the crypt because my mother is seriously ill and I couldn’t use a fancy restaurant or a party !
I am not sure if is the poor communication between Katerina , their receptionist and the priest ( Theonas) but I’ ve been told that he will give the key for the crypt to my husband on Friday and we will have the Friday afternoon for arranging the place with ornaments and everything its needed to have a special day ! We have traveled with a new born baby from Southampton since 9 a clock to get there in time to get the key but, because of the very bad traffic we were late ! My husband has got there , but the attitude of the priest was appalling telling my husband that he can’t give him the key now, he needs to come Saturday morning at 10 a clock to take the key to arrange the crypt !!😂
There was nothing arranged from their part . How did they expect us to arrange a room and having a baby to look after and also to get ready in time for the church ceremony and also the photo shoots that I ‘ve paid £600 .
I refused to have the crypt on this condition and the stress we have had with a day before the Baptism , searching for a restaurant for hours , was very upsetting and stressful! Lucky we were helped by our hotel we were staying at Hilton Hyde Park and arranged there for the baptism reception!
Saturday we have arrived at the church at 2 a clock , so we have enough time for the photo shoots and to arrange nicely with all my of my son’s baptism souvenirs ! The photographer was also booked from 2 a clock because I have been told from Katerina that I could come earlier than 3 a clock because there is no other Baptism before me !!!
We had a 2 months old baby and the guests in the church garden waiting with us for a hour , in the rain ! Numerous times we rang the bell and at 3 a clock I was shouting at them for this disguising attitude we received ! They have opened the church at 3 a clock , there was nothing arranged for my baby’s Baptism. Again , Katerina has told me that , there it will be some flowers arrangements but I am welcome to bring any extra if I wish! Lucky I have bought myself some nice flowers that my friend put it on! There was no staff members to help or guide us with the arrangements and the baby’s Baptism !

I expected better service when I paid £590 for a Baptism that was late, on rush and the priest was doing CONFESSION WITH A STRANGER at 3 a clock ( my time booked and paid ) , when it supposed to start my baby’s blessing ceremony not to have a hungry and tired baby crying baby 40 minutes after 🤢We were all stressed out and tired and my baby was crying the whole ceremony!

There are not happy pictures either because of this appalling episode ! Everyone were stressed and bored even the guests they were tired !
I wouldn’t ever put my foot in their church even though I love the cathedral and I will chose a different church my my baby first communion with his Godparents this Sunday !

The ceremony was ok but has been spoilt by a very bad approach and attitude

We visited this theatre for the Taiwan Festival, it's a charming venue with lots of history evident in its architecture and aesthetics evident in its architecture and aesthetics. The decorations give off a vibe of an old British theatre, really transporting you back in time. Despite being quite old, the equipment and technical aspects are decent.

The seating area is a bit compact, so there's not much leg space. If you plan to come, try not to bring too much stuff with you, as storage might be limited.

Another thing to mention is that inside the theatre, the architecture is like a labyrinth, making it tricky to find the toilet. The signs for the toilet aren't very clear, and sometimes the doors block the signs when they're closed at a certain angle. This can be confusing, especially after the performance ends, when you're trying to figure out which restroom is which.

When in London for a meeting I was close to Notting Hill so I ventured to the Bookshop made famous by Hugh Grant in the movie 'Notting Hill'. As well as being a great bit of movie nostalgia the shop itself has an awesome selection of travel books. It gets busy with tourists all wanting a photo, surprising how famous it still is all these years after the film was released... I suppose that just shows what a classic film Notting Hill is and what a great shop the Bookshop is too.

So disappointed. The outside was eye catching and the inside was dark and dreary ,room for about four people to shop, most of store roped off. Uninviting and would not go back. I guess you can not judge a book by its cover. Overall feeling that the owners really do not care to run a business.

While visiting Notting Hill, we took a stroll along Westbourne Grove. We had heard that this was one of the "happening" places in this part of London.
This may well be the case in the evenings but during the daytime it was very quiet. We looked at a few over-priced specialty shops and passed by several swish restaurants and cafes.
However, there really was not a lot here which excited us. We preferred other parts of Notting Hill!

We had lunch for two couples David the waiter recommendations were wonderful. Up to 3 plates to every diner. We recommend the sea bus , octopus, shrimps were gorgeous, Spanish soup was great.
It wasn’t so cheap for ordinary lunch but we enjoyed every plate that we ordered.

We enjoyed the magic hour as a wonderful wind down to a long day. It was a small group experience with 40 people. Sonic engaged everyone in the crowd. We arrived 2 hours early and had dinner and cocktails before the show. Dinner was expensive but lovely. All the seats at the show were good views. Would definitely do again.
