Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is your mega station for all connections, dining, hotels, attractions, Hyde Park, and so much more!
Check out the Paddington Bear statue, the huge Wild Table of Love installation, the man in the clock!
The Paddington Basin is just across the street with restaurants on boats and houseboats anchored!

This is an easy station to navigate, arriving from the underground, platforms are straight in front of you. Most staff are helpful.

The journey was exactly as it said, quick on time. Down side is there is a long walk from terminal 2 to the station although terminal 5 was closer. I got a family ticket but you scan that and the gate only allows for 1 person to pass through not the whole group

We arrived from the Northern line on our way to ‘The Old Vic’, which was a short walk away.

Someone mentioned in a review that it was like an airport and certainly the long travellator on the way back to the Northern Line northbound platform was just like in an airport.

I’m amazed how every year the Underground system gets better and better. I guess it’s one of the reasons so many people want to live in London where property prices are high.

If you’ve ever wanted to drive a train then take the DLR. You can sit right upfront where the driver should be and make out you are driving the train. The service is on the whole very efficient, barring mishaps and from the train there are great views of East London.

My adult daughter and I had rt tickets London to Brussels . I purchased premium seats that were pricey . Premium tix are said to include separate lines for check in which were non existent in both London & Brussels . I found the the security and passport control to be almost worse than some airports . Our seats were comfortable but hardly premium . All staff were attentive , friendly and helpful .Both lounges were well staffed , not much in food selection but very clean and comfortable . Our meals on the train were nothing special , more like sample sized portions of various foods. The journey went well , relaxing quiet ride . Again the staff at stations , lounges and on the trains were wonderful . The premium aspect is lacking imo.

I used their services on the Gatwick Airport - Victoria route and back. The train is clean, fast, you have free access to Wi-Fi, the seats are comfortable. Tickets are expensive. Unfortunately, on the way there, the train had a breakdown and we had to take another train, from an intermediate station.

Busy central London station that is in need of a major upgrade. The concourse is huge with very little seating and train platforms are only notified at best 10 minutes before departure which causes a mad rush to the relevant platform. The men’s toilets are a disgrace being dirty and smelly. The food options are poor and very expensive.

We booked a double and solo compartment. The standard rooms are very small leaving little room to get dressed etc. Its OK for one in the solo but for 2 sharing a twin, its very tight.

We had a drink in the club car and whilst the service was excellent with friendly staff, the menu was limited and whole carriage was overly functional. It was clean but the decortaed for durability and ease of cleaning versus comfort. For me, the sleeper trains should be bringing the magic of travel back - its an option you take when you want to enjoy a journey as opposed to get from A to B as quickly / cheaply as you can. A more extensive menu and revamped decoration is much needed.

That bsaid, the beds were VERY comfortable - supportive mattress, thick, warm duvet and a soft pillow. Room temperate is variable and so this part they have done well.

Lastly, washrooms were kept good and clean although these again were very small.

This underground station must be one of the coldest in London. It's drafty even in summer. However, the staff cannot be held responsible for their surroundings. Recently I observed one employee go beyond the call of duty to help passenger after passenger understand where to go. He was so patient and good-humoured.

    Painful journey!
What is with the seats on GWE Paddington to Swansea service? For newish rolling stock, it's the most uncomfortable, in fact, painful ride. There is no softness or support in seats, and it's like there is a bar through the middle of the seat. The back is hard, too. For the price of the fare you expect better. With the rickety rough ride of the line, it just makes it seem worse.
    Do something about it !!!

    PROS
    * Underground station serviced by Tfl (Northern and Jubilee lines) and also DLR

    CONS
    * Confusing signage

    "I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
... as i traveled from Greenwich to Golders Green

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
    It is TfL based

WOULD "I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN?
Sure- if and when I needed to do that

    ADVICE
    * Use it if you need to do that
    * Be aware that signage is confusing

I travelled from London to Lewes and the outbound train had huge delays before eventually bring cancelled. So the train I then got was ridiculously full (and on a hot day).
The return same thing delayed, eventually cancelled I had to wait 25 minutes for a train in the end.Terrible service with lame excuses that those around me told me were constant in this line.Avoid if you possibly can!!

But only if you are using Elizabeth Line.

Great to have street to train level step free access, even although the lifts and routes are out of the way and convoluted.

Thought the tube train service was good but the train carriages were very tired, the buses were plentiful but regrettably the customer service shown by the drivers was poor. It was almost as if they hated to give any advice on destinations.
