Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I booked the Fighter Four tour. It was a great experience to get up close to these special aircraft. It was very informative and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. It was super to hear again the story of the Battle of Britain while standing beside the very planes that fought in it. Plus it was great to take this tour on Armistice Day.
Thank you to Danny who gave a super tour. Top class.

Great space for all ages to explore (including ramps and lifts for those that need accessibility). It suits from the very young to pre teen and adults. Teenagers to young adults, unless they have a deep passion for the process of design, play and toys, are not so well catered for, but mums and dads will love it. Our kids were drawn to all the interactive stuff which there could be more of, especially when it is busy as to avoid disappointment! Over all a great way to spend a couple of hours, and really close to Bethnal Green tube! The cafe is not too overpriced for London but would suggest if you don’t want to spend to bring a packed lunch!

My husband & I took our granddaughter aged 3 who enjoyed the place. She liked the story telling sessions. The story tellers were entertaining & were able to grab the kid’s attention as well as getting them to actively participate.
Overall it’s an ideal place with different activities with an outdoor playground which is also good for hide & seek as it has small bushes to hide.
There are outside picnic tables & chairs which we made use of as it was sunny.
The cafe has a selection of food & refreshments and the staff throughout were great.
My only negative comment is the entrance fees which I found expensive as you have to pay for each adult as well as the child. Although we’re from London, we don’t live in Newham where residents apparently get a discount. I find that a little unfair.

A great experience with interactive elements that my daughter enjoyed. What also made it more special is the characters that interacted with my daughter namely Eddie, Mrs Bird, and Mrs Brown.

We went as a Group of 7 children, Taneeka and Olivia made it so much fun for the Girls. The girls loved the back in the bucket game, they were so helpful when our littlest got Slime all over her hair! Thank you ladies so very much. I think it's very good value for money, 2 big tubs of slime to go home with (yay!)

    ONE-SENTENCE SUMMARY.
A review of engineering works on tap water, flood prevention and sewer systems.

    Attraction within 5-min walk:
    Guards Museum
    Jewel Tower
    Pyx Chamber (Westminster Abbey)
    Chapter House (Westminster Abbey)

    WHERE TO START.
Exhibits not in any particular order—although, you can start with a "hut" at the end of the corridor, which loops on with an intro video. The clip will run through engineering inventions throughout history, from lighthouses to combustion engines and from post war urban design to recent discoveries.

    HIDDEN GEMS.
Behind the hut is a hidden corner dedicated to Joseph Bazalgette, designer of London's sewer system (opened 1866).

Fun fact—The system contributed to the end of London's pandemic cholera outbreaks.

Went here on Friday ahead of meeting my friend locally for lunch. The famous big red bus wasn’t there due to covid and some exhibitions were missing but that didn’t detract from the wonderful experience. Warm welcome, temperature check on arrival and the two members of staff couldn’t do enough. You could tell they are passionate about living in Hackney and how it has developed through the ages. They were also very informative about up and coming events and spoke passionately about how the young school children love coming here. Museum is small, just on one level but well worth a visit. I feel the photos don’t do it enough justice!

The pod is an amazing space. Very space age with great interactive educational games. My kids are 8 and 6 and they enjoyed this immensely. Afterwards we went to one of the lecture theatres for a talk one the subject we went for - gut feeling. It was a great talk, lots of audience participation and interaction. But at 1hr I felt perhaps trimming it to 45mins or so would have made it even better. Staff there very enthusiastic and friendly. Great experience.

This review if for the wandsworth location. Went with my son (5) and was greeted by a staff member named Kezley. They completely talked over me when I was asking about what was offered at the store. Then they began talking to other staff about personal stuff like I wasn’t even there. We did a walk-in (I believe they’re called that) and we felt unattended and uncared for the whole time. Kezley felt more like a schoolteacher, not even allowing my child to talk, than a child’s entertainer. HORRIBLE! My child felt scared to even have fun, and we left as quickly as possible! at least the slime has kept, oh wait, it hasn’t. it was okay for a few days, and now it’s a weird consistency and is hard over the top. maybe it was just the worker we were involved with, but this does not speak well for the company. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
