Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- springchick32Solihull, UK871 contributionsThis place is amazing. We walked passed the shops and park going to the Royal Observatory, Queen house and Maritime Museum. Our son loved it. It is beautiful, so much to see and do, you would not think you were in London. Definitely recommend going and visiting.Written 31 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Natalie B14 contributionsWent to Brick Lane specifically to buy milk sweet. First few shops gave us a ridiculously inflated price. Then we found Modhubon at 42, Brick Lane who charged us the ‘normal’ price.
The sweets were excellent as was the samosa. Thank you!Written 29 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We travelled here by train using the Jubilee Line and after our visit departed via the Docklands Light Railway both lines serving the area.
Leaving the Jubilee Line Canary Wharf station via its iconic escalators, we immediately found ourselves in the Jubilee Park which is a lovely shady area with smoot paths. Lots of shade from the trees and water flowing over a series of raised tanks cascading from one section to another. Sculptures and other ornamentation are to be found along the pathways and there are refreshment facilities nearby though these do not intrude on the sense of tranquillity to any great extent. It is hard to imagine that the visitor is in the middle of an area hosting high rise office and domestic accommodation.
The walk led us to the South Dock where we marvelled at the buildings towering over us, I have never been to New York but would imagine this is what it may be like. The South Dock is a left over from when cargo ships used the Port of London to import and export cargoes all over the world and the proximity of the former industrial dock area and the new imposing buildings makes a sharp contrast. The trains of the Docklands Light railway can be seen passing the area on elevated lines.
There were some interesting boats moored in the South Dock, but also some wildlife too, we saw a family of ducks pass by in a long line and also some Cormorants drying their wings after diving into the water for a meal. We crossed the South Quay footbridge and explored the opposite side of the South Dock, and here we found many restaurants and other eating outlets preparing for the anticipated evening trade.
We finished our visit by walking to Heron Quays DLR station and catching a train back into Central London and home. We are glad that we took the opportunity to visit the area of Canary Wharf, I think with the time we had we only got to see a small percentage and would like to revisit to see some more.Written 17 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lou84sheffieldSheffield, UK369 contributionsLovely area great vibe. No where open after 11pm to get a drink and sit outside on a hot summer night after the London Palladium. Every where closed, but you can get a beer from 10am in the morning and sit outside.Written 25 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sheepygoldlondon5,421 contributionsThis is a super neighborhood which we come to regularly, today to High Street Kensington to visit Japan House+ the Japanese cultural centre. Kensington is a very varied place with the amazing Kensington Gardens, Kensington Palace, the museums at South Kensington and of course the Albert Hall. There are plenty of places to eat including many pubs, lovely houses and tree lined streets and garden squares. Transport is good in parts of Kensington although many visitor attractions are in walking distance if you choose to stay here.Written 28 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He also offers walks through other neighborhoods, as do his fellow Greeters. This is free, but you can treat your greeter to coffee or lunch. Allow 2+ hours.
