Personally, I love market shopping and lunchtimes are the best time to visit as the hustle and bustle creates a great atmosphere.
We visited both Spitalfied Market and Covent Gardens and were sorely disappointed - both were just modern shopping malls.

It was unseasonably cold and blustery outside, but inside this gorgeous shop it was warm and inviting.
The pieces for sale in the exhibition shop are simply wonderful - but way out of my price range!

Good book shop with limited edition works for sale.
There is a good shop, and, although the gallery has no café or catering, there are many varied establishments outside as the area develops into an arts and restaurant quarter.

We've been buying wines through Laithwaites for some years now and much to my delight we stumbled across their shop in London.
