Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Brian M6 contributionsBig on Roman history, but also lots of coverage of pre-Roman and every period through the Middle Ages and more recent. Well laid out and lots of useful captions, etc.Written 6 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KestasKSVilnius, Lithuania3,820 contributionsA nice old abbey with several. Grapples, small abbey grounds around it. Nice village center in the Cotswolds aree, near Bibury another nice village worth visitingWritten 24 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Fiona GEdinburgh, UK53 contributionsBeautiful country house gardens with lots of interesting nooks and crannies, and places to sit and be peaceful. It must be glorious in mid- summer.
There’s an honesty-box/ PayPal/ card system for payment ( A mere £6 for adults and £1 for kids). Half- way round there’s a self-serve bothy with the same payment options. A great selection of hot and cold drinks and generous/lovely home bakes.
Lots of plants for sale too.Written 9 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. On entering you are given a guide book, telling you the name and price of each piece, most of them out of reach for Mr and Mrs average, we spent a good couple of hours here, and finished up in the little gallery near the enterance , and we bought a small kitten, playing with a ball in bronze.
There is a little cafe and free parking as well as 2 unisex toiletsWritten 27 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Gem L4 contributionsAbsolutely fantastic tour. I don't know much about air craft, but there is something for everyone to enjoy here. My only criticism would be that it felt slightly rushed, but to be fair, we were lucky enough to catch the last tour this year before they change the tour to Flight before ChristmasWritten 26 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - al1404Bath, UK26 contributionsReally enjoyed the half-day 4x4 with my sons. The instructor, Stuart, was excellent - gave us very clear instruction and guided us through a series of ever-increasing challenges. We all had lots of time taking turns behind the wheel and tackled a lot of mud, ponds and seemingly impossible inclines. All-round great experience.Written 10 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- karen sNewbury, UK18 contributionsStunning park on the edge of old Cirencester. So large that it feels as if you have it all to yourself; beautifully presented; paths for cycles and buggies, or, walk on the grass and through wooded areas. A gemWritten 5 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Gardengel-IoWWest Sussex, UK1,014 contributionsWide house, 20 minutes to walk round, very dark and didn’t scream arts and crafts to me. Have to wear covers on shoes and no photos. Only other place I have had to do that was a palace in Copenhagen. No photography either. Still used as a family home, it wasn’t very homely I’m afraid.
Garden which to be fair is what we went for, was very nice. Big and full walled kitchen garden. Lots of topiary, long borders, pots and views. Only thing not happy about in the garden, was the noise created by the ride on mower which was on the go the entire time of our visit of over an hour. This place is only open 2 afternoons a week, surely, they could have the grass cut another day.Written 8 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots more to see than obvious from the front window as there are multiple rooms behind and upstairs. The usual range of antiques and collectables that one might expect, but nicely laid out for a good browse. Worth a visit if you are in town.Written 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Janine N4 contributionsA brilliant afternoon - friendly staff and manager and it was well kept and clean. I had a lovely time swimming and my little girl loved the baby pool and floats we could use. It was such an enjoyable visit- looking forward to next time.Written 2 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah KWatford, UK331 contributionsWe camped here for 3 nights. We just made the 4pm check in and bought a few things from the great organic shop. The shop is a 5 minute walk to the camp site. The parking is secure and your car is not too far away. The views from the site are beautiful. The oudoor showers are great, although only one was working when we were there. The compostable toilets are a little to be desired. The site wasn't full when we were there so I don't think that 2 ladies toilets would be enough for a 40 pitch site. All in all, we had a great visit and would be happy to recommend.Written 14 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bertie1224Northamptonshire, UK1,448 contributionsVariety of shops selling lots of local produce. You can get gin decanted into a bottle from a huge glass bauble- there are numerous flavours. Also in bottles of various sizes, all local. You can also get local beers, whiskey, wines and cheeses all produced in the Cotswolds. Several other bespoke outlets to visit too. A nice place to peruse.Written 7 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
