Cape Cod National Seashore
#18 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
What a magical place, we started from Provincetown and worked our way back with wonderful beaches, lovely lighthouses, stunning estuary's and villages, delightful trails.
The seashore offers something for everyone including hiking trails, bike paths, camping facilities, fishing, fishing, beaches for swimming, surfing and windsurfing and self-guided walking trails.

Race Point Beach Provincetown
#19 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
It's an easy walk out to the beach unlike some of the other beaches on the Cape The beach is clean and if you are lucky you just might get to see whale's "spouting" offshore as we did.
One of my favorite beaches ever, whale and seal sitings , beautiful dunes and views of lighthouses.......right off bike trails.

Head of the Meadow Beach Truro
#20 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
... tidal pools at low tide, seal sightings, great waves (depending on the wind) for boogie boarding and skim boarding on the shore, it is rather easy, in comparison to other National Seashore Beaches, to get to.
Its a nice place to relax.. one of the best beaches here at the Cape... best time to be is early morning to noon as crowd is fewer...it also has waves which is good for surfing.
Mayflower Beach Dennis
#21 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
Hotel staff suggested we go to Mayflower Beach and WOW! Wide clean beaches with soft white sand greeted us as we left the parking lot and snack bar behind us!
I have been all over the world and this beach ranks right up there with Caribbean and Mediterranean beaches in terms of pure beauty and beach.
Coast Guard Beach Eastham
#22 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
Thursday morning was our tour day for the beaches of Cape Cod.All of the beaches are great, but this one has a nice extensive sandy beach.
The fee is lower than many of the town beaches too (buy the annual pass if you think you might do more on the Seashore if you have a weekly rental or will be going to other NPS sites over the next year).
Herring Cove Beach Provincetown
#25 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
Warm water you can actually swim in, calm easy waves, the best bathrooms of all the National Seashore Beaches, an (albeit touristy) snack bar, and a great sunset.
Beatifful dunes with large beaches you can walk for miles and its got different section to make everyone comfortable
Skaket Beach Orleans
#27 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
Skaket Beach in Orleans is one of those perfect inner Cape beaches for families, especially those with young children.
Another bonus: parking free is good for both Orleans beaches.
Nauset Light Beach Eastham
#29 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
We find that this beach tends to have the best surf out of the National Seashore beaches, with stunning views of the cliffs behind.
Thanks to to FDR for making it possible for all who have a lifetime Senior Pass to go to all national parks and beaches free.
First Encounter Beach Eastham
#30 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
Cape Cod is known for its beautiful sandy beaches, and First Encounter Beach in Eastham is a wonderful spot to spend a relaxing afternoon.
The beaches have soft white sand, the vegetation is a brilliant green and for an evening wedding -- Oh, those Sunsets.
Nauset Beach Orleans
#31 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
Really lovely beach, as well as are the beaches within driving distance from this one, that offers lighthouses and are perfect for taking serene pictures.
One of the most accessible and beautiful Atlantic-facing beaches on Cape Cod within the National Seashore.
Chatham Lighthouse Beach Chatham
#33 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
Walk the beach and just enjoy the incredible natural beauty of the water and beaches.
I love long, beautiful beaches for walking and enjoying and this is a favorite.
Long Point Provincetown
#34 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
But it's worth it for stunning views, less crowded beaches, swimming, fishing, or hanging.
Really beautiful spot for a walk or read on the beach, great views, and fantastic light on the lighthouse sides as the sun rises and sets.

Marconi Beach Wellfleet
#36 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
Marconi beach nice waves, many seals ,great swimming The setting is stunning you can understand Thoreau's interest in the outer beaches of Cape Cod.
Its so huge and wide open... it has the grandness of west coast beaches.
Gray's Beach Yarmouth Port
#37 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
The beach is great and at low tide you can wander far out onto other beaches!
Recommend by our Local Inn owners Mike & Helen from the nearby ‘Inn at Cape Cod’ You must stop and have a relaxing hour on this beach and walk the boardwalk to see if the seals are about !

Corporation Beach Dennis
#38 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
There are a myriad of beaches that you can visit when you are a vacation on the Cape but/and Corporation Beach is a great little find if you happen to be in Dennis.
This is one of our favorite beaches to visit each year.
Craigville Beach Centerville
#41 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
TIP: Admission here gets you into all the Barnstable beaches.
Craigville Beach is one of the best beaches on Cape Cod.
Old Silver Beach Falmouth
#42 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
The south facing beaches tend to be more rocky, while Old Silver is smooth sand, and the waters of Buzzards Bay are very warm compared to other bodies of water around.
It's comparatively warm (as Cape Cod beaches go) and the sand is soft and "sugary" (as opposed to First Encounter Beach, for example, which is also lovely but has much coarser sand).
Bass River Beach South Yarmouth
#43 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
Actually all the public beaches in Yarmouth were nice, I just was particular to this one because in addition to the snack bar, the beach and swimming, it had a great little pier area to watch boats and the ocean.
Best Beaches
Seagull Beach West Yarmouth

Definitely one of the better beaches at the cape if you're just going to relax and unwind.
Our resort offered passes to the local beaches and they recommended Seagull Beach.
Kalmus Beach Hyannis

West Dennis Beach West Dennis
#71 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
It is $25 to park but unlike the other beaches we went to, you park in your spot and walk 5 steps up and you're right on the beach.
Being on the Sound, the water is usually a few degrees warmer than the beaches on the northside of the Cape and the beaches along the Atlantic.
Sea Street Beach Dennis Port
#72 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
The beaches in Dennis on Cape Cod Bay are gorgeous!
A Dennis beach sticker gets you access to 10+ beaches making it hard to choose!

Life guards are at both beaches, and all ages are welcome.
One of many beaches on Cape Cod.
Ridgevale Beach Chatham
#77 of 305 Outdoor Activities in Cape Cod
Lot's of beaches in the Cape have these marshes, but this one is functional and beautiful.
This is one of the nicer beaches on the south coast of Chatham.

While there are wonderful beaches all over the Cape, Cold Storage is where my family loves to spend the Summer together.
One of the great bayside beaches on the Cape.
