Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Invited to visit the site with a view to the owners starting a CS campsite - has great potential n a great location. I'm told that the fishing is very good but am not a fisherman myself. The road connections are good

Along with St Margaret's Church in nearby Bag Enderby, George Tennyson was also rector of St Margaret's Church in Somersby. It’s a lovely stop when walking the Lincolnshire Wolds in the footsteps of Alfred Tennyson. Inside, there’s a bust of the poet laureate and biographical account spanning several pages. Worth a stop if you want to follow in the steps of the Poet Laureate.

I have been to Spilsby many times since I was a child as my relatives lived there.
I last went there 11 years ago. Judging from the pictures it hasn’t changed. My daughter who was 20;at the time loved it. It’s very unspoilt. There are interesting places close by such as Grantham and Skegness.

We stopped off here on the way to Spilsby to have a look at this lovely historic church. It dates back to the 1300's and has pews with 15th century poppy-head carvings, It has a square tower and interesting stonework so worth taking a walk around the building outside too.

A victorian church surrounded by trees and nature in a quiet village. The church is an important part of local history. It's well worth a visit.

If you want to follow in the footsteps of Tennyson in the Lincolnshire Wolds, then St Margaret's Church is one of the best places to do that. George Clayton Tennyson, father of Alfred, was rector of the church from 1806 till his death in 1831.

The church is an unassuming English Gothic building, with a buttressed tower. At the entrance to the church, the door has a boss from a Danish shield found in the grounds nearby. Inside the church are information boards about the life of Tennyson.
