Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Creative Hands StudioBothell, WA38 contributionsIt was very adventurous and very fun. WE went with our parents and kids. My daughter had so much fun doing the zip lining. Enjoyed a lot.Written 3 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Joan88Mill Valley, CA741 contributionsBeautiful walk along the river, across the pedestrian wooden bridge to the confluence with the Columbia River. Mountains all around! Quite lovely, flat, many locals with their dogs.Written 12 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MN20 contributionsWe really enjoyed taking Flora for a walk (this needs booked well in advance). You can tell the wolves are all loved and well taken care of. She clearly has a bond with the owners as her recall was spot on and she was very playful. We got lots of beautiful pictures. They are obviously all passionate about wolf conservation and very knowledgeable. The gentleman that accompanied us on the tour was super friendly and we learnt a lot from him on the short car journeys to the walk area, so big thanks to him for making our experience fun.
I didn't give 5 stars just because I felt as though we were an inconvenience as soon as we arrived, no friendly greeting at all. The other couple on the walk were also spoken to rudely when they arrived because they didn't take cash (there's at ATM on site so really not a big deal). So it was an uncomfortable start.
Whilst we loved the experience, we also spent a lot of money for the walk and just didn't get the usual friendly vibe from previous wildlife places we have visited (apart from the guide that took us in the car).
I appreciate the owner is maybe fed up of tourists visiting and clearly has all the wolves best interests at heart, but if you are open to the public then I guess you really need to appreciate those that are supporting your business too. Something just felt off.Written 13 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Driving up from Invermere with the river to the West you get an idea of the flood area but it;s not until you get up high that you cab really get an idea of the extent of the wetlands south of Golden BC. The best view is surely from the Top of the Forest Service Road uptowards Mt. 7 from Upper Golden (Near the Cemetery). That's where I took the shot I'm going to try and post here. It's a decent road most of the time and can usually be driven with care in a sedan. It's frequently graded but there are a couple of rough patches. I drove it in an SUV and it was no trouble. At the top is a summit fro the Hadgliders and such light and it is frequent and popular jump off point in the summer.Written 24 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Travel Gator SToronto, Canada39 contributionsWe had an amazing guys trip at Chatter Creek, and can't wait to go back. The atmosphere is so casual and the surroundings so beautiful with a very well run operation. Food was outstanding, including accommodation of a food allergy. The skiing was epic. Can't wait to go back!Written 22 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- kelly053Valparaiso, FL244 contributionsWe really enjoyed the Rotary Trail. The city website states the whole trail around the town is 7km, but we walked for over 3hours and only did half of it. We parked by Town Hall and walked past the municipal campgrounds to begin the loop. While a lot of the trail is well-marked, the signs basically stopped coming up somewhat before Reflection Lake, so we made our way to the lake and then cut through town back to the car. Whew!
It is a well-maintained trail, mostly shaded, so very pleasant; our thanks to Rotary.Written 19 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. As it says in their website, its close to train tracks, thus you get woken up at night with train passing. But we fall back asleep too quickly its so minor.Written 3 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - chickandbeastSouthgate, Canada8,686 contributionsSwiss influence in Golden scenic British Columbia very picturesque having been to Switzerland some months before while touring the Alps.
The locals seem to be tired of tourists snapping selfies along their streets, I perfectly uderstand as I live in a tourist area in Ontario where everyone flocks to for the weekend.

There were quite a few people camping but nobody on the lake. Cleanest outhouse we had seen and later found out ALL the parks have very clean facilities. Bumpy road to get in there but great destination.Written 22 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DeliaMunich, Germany282 contributionsNot very populated, great nature, we did the trail twice in 2009 and then 2013. The way up to the start of the trail was washed out and good we had a 4Wheel drive. The trail itself is well maintained, but traces od bears along the hike. The trail is not steep, but you need some condition, there are some stoney sections, but nothing to worry about. In 2009 we even saw a grizzly approaching us from the other side of the lake. I would recommend this trail for a group. Not sure how a local sees it, but despite the well maintained trail, you are a bit away from the town. The lake is wonderful. The mountains as well. The outhouse was destroyed by an avanlanche in 2013. Check about the road condition up to the trail start before you decide to walk this trail. As said, it was pretty rough in Oct 2013.Written 29 May 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
