Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An exceptional experience with guided tour around the island which included an invitation to 3 different wine tastings.
Our fantastic tour guide was very accommodating to the group and offered options for lunch before our return to the ferry.

An absolutely brilliant day out. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The tour was for 15 people, just the right amount, and the bus was on time. An early start, but well worth it. Gail

Josh was a brilliant guide, full of local knowledge and answered all questions. Very pleasant and patient. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting Auckland to book this tour. Much better than what I had originally expected.

I had a fantastic experience with Cheeky Kiwi Travel. Cheekiest Michael, our guide, was incredibly informative and helpful, especially attentive to the couple traveling with children. The entire tour was well-paced, allowing us plenty of time to explore without feeling rushed. It was a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Cheeky Kiwi Travel for anyone looking for a well-organized and stress-free tour!”

We chose the Redwood forests tree climb along with the geysers! It was a beautiful walk through the redwoods.
We then had a tour of the Maori Art Institute, saw the Kiwi bird, and enjoyed a spectacular lunch overlooking the geysers. After lunch we toured the bubbling mud and geysers. They are amazing! I didn’t want to leave!

Our tour guide, Daryl, was the most knowledgeable guide! He shared the history of New Zealand with us, showed us the silver ferns, and provides us with the best day we could have ever asked for!! If you do this tour, be sure to request Daryl as your guide!!

We had the pleasure on going on a Cheeky Kiwi tour led by Grant! The tour was smoothly organized -- we were picked up at our hotel and provided with snacks and water. It was great hearing about Auckland and the sights we saw along the way as we chugged our way south towards Hobbiton. The details provided by Grant were very informative and illuminating without feeling like we were listening to someone talk non-stop. The lovely exposition was only second to having all of the logistics handled for us as we got to see some beautiful idyllic scenery in Hobbiton before heading over to Rotorua and Te-Puia. If you're looking to experience some of the most beautiful sights on North Island without worrying about transport or logistics, I would highly recommend going on a tour with this company!

Great trip. Lots of options available. Waitomo caves were very cool. The scenery along the way was beautiful. John, our driver, gave us lots of information about NZ and answered all our questions. John also gave me lots of tips for my stay in Rotorua. I would definitely recommend. Thank you for a wonderful day.

Alex was our guide and he was great. Passionate about Auckland and with a great sense of humor. They celebrate 40 year in business so they must be doing something right!

Han was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, friendly, and well paced . He introduced me to the top 5 places all interesting and new to me as a first time visitor to Auckland. Han confirmed pickup details by WHatsApp the night before which was reassuring. I recommend him.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the All Black Experience while spending a few days in Aukland. It is a well put together exhibit with interactive displays and a guided tour. It gives an insight into New Zealand's almost fanatical support of their national rugby side. There also were games that could be played to test your 'rugby' skills and had plenty of interest for all ages.
Even fascinating to learn how there All Blacks first got their now famous name.

I just wanted to give a shoutout to my awesome tour guide, John! He made the trip to Rotorua unforgettable with his great knowledge and fun stories. The views were stunning, and the extra stops he added along the way to Wai-o-Tapu were a nice surprise. We even made it in time for the lady knox geyser show (not in the itinerary), which was perfect! Plus, those quick photo breaks were a blast. At the end of the day, John was super thoughtful and dropped us off wee bit away from our pick up location to keep us dry from the rain. Overall, this tour was definitely a highlight of my New Zealand trip—thanks, John!
