- Curious396250946572 contributionsWas absolutely wonderful, saw whales jumping out of the water couldn't get any better than that. Staff was very helpful and friendly, explained things very clearly. We didn't get to see the whale sharks but thats okay because the whales where beautiful🐋. Only thing if you get easily sea sick be prepared😅. Shout out to Leon for getting such a awesome video of the whale thank you! - Susan J20 contributionsFantastic hotel and dive centre with truly wonderful, welcoming staff. Great dive guides and all the staff always helpful and kind. Rooms are lovely, pool refreshing, and on site restaurant is great- fantastic chef and great front of house staff. Really felt like i was staying with friends. - Oceanic Agnes6 contributionsCris is an exceptional driver. I was introduced to Cris by a dive lead in Vilanculos when I was thinking about going to Tofo beach. I decided to use his service. Cris was punctual. He picked me at a resort in Vilanculos and drove me to Tofo beach. Along the way, Cris showed me the Tropic of Capricorn line roadsign and baobab trees.
Cris carefully drove. He was very friendly and reliable.
I also used his service when I wanted to travel from Tofo beach to Maxixe for an Etrago bus. Cris helped me to phone and talk to staff at Etrago when the bus company messed up with my ticket which I had bought online from their website. As I needed to travel. Cris stayed with me to find another bus from another company, so I could travel to Maputo. He waited with me until the bus arrived at Maxixe.
Cris arranged another taxi driver, Alberto, in Maputo to meet me at the bus station in Maputo. It was about 11pm when I arrived Maputo. Cris also phone to check if I arrived Maputo safely. Alberto drove me from Maputo to Ponta. I arrived Ponta around 1.30am.
I used Cris' service again when I wanted to travel back to Maputo. Cris arranged Alberto to pick me up at 4.30 am for a ride from Ponta to Maputo airport. Along the way, Alberto stopped the car and allowed me to take photos and videos for wildlife in a national Park on N2.
I really appreciate Cris and his team for their service. I highly recommend Cris and Southern Ocean Tours & Transfers. I consider Cris as my friend. Mito was very professional and attentive to our experience throughout the trip. It was a culture shock to see the humble life in the bush of Tofo. We were curious about their way of life and vise-versa, so our 4+ hour stay was full of stories and laughter. I would recommend to have a song or dance to share with the others, I contributed the song ''Live is Life'' and they loved it! A hat, shorts, and closed toed shoes are a good idea when starting a fire and walking back with liters of water balanced on your head. I would and have highly recommended this experience! - Michelle S1 contributionHad a few improver surf lessons at Livimbo. Kris and Nelson are extremely knowledgeable and experienced in all things surf! Felt like I was in safe hands the whole time and gained a lot of good tips and pointers to take back home and work on!

He walked with us to different spots in the city and explained the historie of Inhambane, also from Mozambique. We want to know what the historie of a country is wenn we travel. For us it is important trying to understand the culture.
It was a very relaxed tour, we talked a lot and learned a lot by hearing the stories, but also feeling the vibe in the city. We could ask Viriato everything, he explained us a lot and we liked that he was also interested in our culture and country.
We ended at the market to have lunch together; The nice food from Mozambique.
Viriato took good care off us. He took the time, there was no rush. We enjoyed big time!! Nelson can also give you surf lesson in Ponta de Ouro.
