My husband and I went diving with Manta Rhei in April 2024 and had the best time ever. Even though I am an advanced OW diver, I was a bit scared about the currents in Komodo and Manta Rhei was so sweet in comforting me and ensuring me that they would choose dive sites according to my abilities and that I would not have a problem. The dive boat is really well done and comfortable and they offer great breakfast and lunch on the boat (well exceeded my expectations!). The waffles and banana cake at the end of the 3 dives was so yumm and much needed. We were over 15 people diving on that day and I loved the group selections they do based on diver skills , we had a great group and was very comfortable diving throughout and the currents were also very easy to navigate thanks to our amazing guide! The aquatic life in Komodo is like nothing I have ever seen before and definitely regret only diving 1 day during our trip. The coral will just blow your mind and every fish / turtle / manta in Komodo seems bigger than you've seen them anywhere else. Thank you Manta Rhei for easing all my nerves and ensuring that I had an amazing diving experience in Komodo and cannot wait to be back!

My girlfriend and I Scuba dived with Neren for my birthday. The instructors (Adri and Santi) were methodic, professional, and of course, very friendly. They are probably among the best that I have ever dived with and they made sure to invite their friends (turtles, mantas, sharks, etc) to join me for my birthday!. Highly recommended!

After careful consideration we decided to forgo a bit of comfort for freedom of choice as we were travelling with a child and non divers and we chartered Mimic with the Wunderpus company. It was definitely the absolute better decision for our family. We had an unforgettable experience and I will be forever grateful to our fantastic crew and to the spectacular Komodo NP for our life long memories.

From the initial enquiry, Ed was very helpful and answered all my questions promptly and with detail. Organisation was no issue.

We were met by the friendly team at the airport and from there on end we were treated with kindness, courtesy and dedicated care by the whole crew, especially on the boat.

The scheduling was perfect, where in essence we were either the first to arrive or be the only boat at each site. We had flexibility to tick all the passengers requests including of course the dragons, the flying fox night highway, and the more unusual such as jogging in unusual spots (for the husband), snorkelling in the mangroves, jumping off a jetty and finding calm waters for the child who got a bit sea sick at times.

The food was amazing and just kept coming, the care at night where they quietly looked after us, even when it rained to ensure we were dry, to just looking out for my son whose favourite thing was to jump off the boat was so kind.

In terms of the diving, all I can say is WOW! Wow! Wow! Having not dived for 20+ years, I recertified 3 weeks prior in Sydney during a family visit in anticipation and made sure I had done a handful of dives before arriving. I was asked for my wish list and still feeling more than a little anxious due my very long diving break, my request was for safety first, and I was happy to see the coral, the fish, perhaps a turtle or two but a manta ray would be a life time dream. Small or big. I had no expectations. I was just happy to be back in the water.

Well, Komodo delivered beyond my imagination, above and below the water, and despite my previous bar being set pretty high (I had previously dived various sites in Caribbean, SE Asia, South Pacific, Ningaloo and Barrier Reef with 30 m visibility)
I was in awe of nature’s garden.

I was also very privileged to have 1:1 time with my very experienced dive instructor due to the charter arrangement and with no other divers in sight, the reef showed me its best show both day and night. My instructor was so kind, calm and made sure I felt safe and happy all the way so I could just enjoy the diving. We saw everything I wanted and much, much more.

We can’t thank the crew enough and we have all listed it as one of our top experiences both in Indonesia and EVER!

I would happily charter the boat again and can’t recommend this company more. In fact a work colleague has already booked for next month and I have quite a few family friends now thinking it as a real option for their holiday choice now that we’ve paved the way.

Thank you again to the Mimic crew, especially to my instructor who has reintroduced me back to diving. I’m now planning to do my advanced course so who knows… maybe I can come again or even consider Raja Ampat!! Fingers crossed.

In short, Uberscuba is a fantastic dive center - definitely come diving here.

In more detail, I’ll tell you why:
    - great team, with guides from different countries all clear and smooth in their communication.
    - Atmosphere in the office and boat is professional when it needs to be and fun and relaxing as much as possible.
    - The gear is really well maintained
    - Food is great.
    - We love the emphasis on being a guest in the ocean and treating the marine world as such.
    - Great communication in general from the first encounter until the last parts
    - Know the park really well and can cater to your every need
    - When things don’t go as planned - this is Indonesia - they are very clear as to why and very accommodating to give the best dive experience
    - Not the cheapest option to go diving in Labuan Bajo, but the cheapest option to really enjoy diving in Labuan Bajo ever!
    - Both experienced and starting divers on our boat were all raving about how excellent the trip was and how Uber Scuba contributed to that.

A great day. The weather played in our favor. I was concerned about bad weather being in the peak rainy season and not favorable to the dragons. We could not have asked for better weather, and the dragons came out to enjoy it. I lost count after seeing half a dozen dragons, including one to welcome us on the beach and one to say goodbye. There were some small, medium, and some big buggers! The staff were there to compliment the rangers walking us around.

Pink Beach was great. I am not a strong swimmer and getting water inside my mask will ruin any snorkeling experience. But I managed to get mask to fit reasonably well, taking on little water via mask or snorkel. I had mask so tight that when I took it off my friend looked at me as if I had been attacked by a shark, the mask impression was so great :-) But I snorkeled longer than most people and beyond where they recommended - only because I did not encounter any strong current as they warned. The fish and coral was great, and so close to the rocks.

I have read many reviews of similar tours, and those about P&O's who are conducted by a big Asian travel company. Everyone who went on a tour that day no matter which company said it was the best shore excursion they had done. So it was the weather, seeing the dragons and Pink Beach if applicable which made the day, not so much the operator. The tour of Komodo Island is done by the rangers, not tour operator. Tour operator staff only compliment the park rangers, and do a good job. The only other differences between tours is the type of boat used to go to Pink Beach (about 20-30 min away), any meal supplied and drinks, snorkeling equipment etc. It really comes down to the small detail such as paying upfront, ask Top Komodo about plan B ;-)

Please note, those reviews who talk about a long trek in and out and as waste of time obviously don't normally walk more than 300m anywhere. I am 64, average fitness, and the walk around Komodo Island was level, on a smooth dirt path, 50% under a tree canopy, stopping frequently to look at things (less if no dragons). It was a breeze. Having said that, I saw 2 women being stretchered out, and one on our tour leaning over a tree trunk to catch her breath, stretcher coming, (The rangers seemed well set up for this).

We did have a meal supplied on the way back to our ship, nice food and the skipper cut the revs back to give us longer to enjoy or meal. (P&O shore excursion did not include lunch), and it was about 2pm by this stage.

Our guide on our tour, sorry I forgot his name, was great. I spoke to Yosefina by email who seems to be the manager when making arrangements. I did contact another couple of operators about shore excursions, some obviously not big players and supplied little information, one was reasonable and probably a strong competitor to Top Komodo, but Yosefina offered the best options/solutions. Plan B ;-)

Red Whale have a new speedboat for hire (Red Whale 3) which is perfect for a couple or small family group. Igor, the director, will design an itinerary for you for the day. We visited Pink Beach which is stunning in its beauty ; the Komodo national park on Rinca Island to see the Komodo Dragons and the price includes park fees and a naturalist ranger. We ate lunch on another beach and then lingered in the waters of Kalong Island waiting for the swarms of bats (Flying Foxes) to fly overhead in search of fruit. The boat is clean and the two person crew and Frido the guide are very helpful and friendly. We did not dive or snorkel but there are plenty of options for those that do. Reasonably priced if you book direct.

Such an awesome way to experience Komodo! Servas, Gio, and the whole crew were awesome and extremely accommodating, especially to my girlfriend with nut allergies. The air conditioned rooms were awesome and we got great sleep both nights. Seeing 20+ manga rays at Manta Point will always be a life highlight! Thank you, Travass Life!

We had a great 3 days on the Nusantara liveaboard. Salla was our lead dive guide along with 2 local dive guides - all 3 were amazing! Our guide, Faldes, made sure that everyone was comfortable on the dives. We slept on the sleeping deck which was a nice experience, especially waking up to sunrise around us. The dive sites were great and the boat boys also helped us get ready for each dive.

No complaints here- would book on again 👍🏼 thank you Mikumba for a great diving experience!

We booked a 4 day, 3 night liveaboard trip and also our Advanced Open Water Certification with Blue Marlin Komodo in April 2024, and words cannot describe how amazing of an experience it was. Over the course of 4 days we had 12 dives and a dragon trek trip to Rinca. Harold was our divemaster and guide for both the AOWC course and the dives thereafter, and I can’t express how good of a divemaster he was. We’re fairly experienced divers and have dove in some pretty challenging environments before, but nonetheless Harold’s extremely thorough pre-dive briefs were both necessary and extremely useful. He drew out detailed maps of each individual dive location and explained both what our initial dive plan would be but also what changes might have to be made depending upon currents being different at certain depths, etc. We also appreciated Harold’s expertise in helping to ID certain corals and fish once we were back on board.
As for the dives themselves, we stayed in central Komodo due to less than pristine weather both to the north and south at the time of our visit. Visibility varied but was typically not more than 30 feet (we had virtually no sun during our 4 days), which would normally be a bit of a drag, but I cannot overstate how amazing the coral, sponges, fish, and diversity of life there was throughout all of our dives. Many of the dives we did were also drift dives and we stayed very close to the reefs, so visibility was not an issue whatsoever. We saw many blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, and saw mantas at both Makassar Point where they were feeding and also at Mauan, which was a manta cleaning station.
The dive sites you will go to will depend upon weather and currents for the most part, but there’s typically a set schedule: Dive at 7:00am, breakfast, dive at 10:30am, lunch, dive at 2:30pm, snack, dive at 4:30 or 6:00 (night dive), dinner. And bring your appetite, there is plenty of (delicious) food to go around. Also, the crew is absolutely amazing. They kept the boat pristine, always kept us fed and hydrated, and were absolutely great at prepping all the gear for every dive.
After our liveaboard stay, we stayed one night in the guestrooms at Blue Dive Komodo and they were perfect. The shop is right on the main avenue and we had a little balcony with a water view. I would highly recommend booking a dive trip or any type of certification with Blue Dive Komodo if you are planning a trip to Labuan Bajo.

We dived with Azul for 3 fun dives in the Komodo national park. These were all amazing and the experience was great. For context, we were relatively beginner divers but still had 3 perfect dives. Would recommend to anybody.

My partner and I loved our 5D/4N trip!! We saw so many mantas, turtles, sharks and beautiful coral reefs. Our snorkel and dive guides, Erik and Yetno, were exceptional and the briefings were super detailed. There was a good mix of activities with 15 dives (12 snorkels) and multiple island and beach visits including the Komodo Dragon trek on Rinca Island. The Sokaraja team were incredibly accommodating and friendly throughout the entire booking process & onboard. There was always plenty of food, catering well to my dietary requirements. One thing to be aware of is that quite a lot of the crew smoke and the smell can be a bit hard to escape at times - especially if you're not used to being around smokers. Otherwise wonderful diving, snorkelling, good food and good company - highly recommend!
