Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was searching for a nice gift for my girlfriend and ended up in this little gem. I was really amazed by the wide variety of locally produced products, which presents a refreshing contrast to the stuff one can buy in other souvenir shops in Labuan Bajo. Last but not least, also the owner of the shop is really, really nice and helpful and can also provide extensive background information on the products and support for other things (e.g. I was looking for a shop to buy mangoes, which was not that straight-forward as I would have expected at the beginning ;-)). Would totally come again :-).

We decided to pay a visit to this place based on the previous review by Conpat05 and was not disappointed.

The place showcased various Tenun from around Flores. Upon arrival they immediately demonstrated how the Tenun was woven and patiently explained the process.

They also have a small shop selling the handmade Tenun and coffee in both beans and powder form.

Rather than buying from tourist souvenir shops we decided to shop here instead and support the communities. It was a bonus that the prices quoted was reasonable.

We also had a coffee break sampling the different beans before buying the type which we liked.

Take note though, it is not located in town and you will need a car to reach there. It takes around 10 to 15 mins by car and if you don't speak Indonesian, it is better to have a guide with you. See the brochure for location and contact details.
