Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked the 11:30 trip. There were 2 meeting points, 1st next to Santa Lucia station and the other at San Marco. We got to Santa Lucia station for 10:50. Apparently this one leaves at 11, but there was no info on the actual booking, just on the tickets when you go to download them to claim them at the ticket office. This was a surprise to us but thankfully the lady in the ticket office put us on the next trip.
Meeting point at S. Lucia: walk out from ticket office at Cannaregio 54 and head towards the shops next to the station. Once you get to Nike, turn right to the KFC and go left and you’ll see the Green Line sign which is for the tour. Unsure how San Marco works as didn’t go to that one.
Other than that, the trip was perfect, tour guide spoke Italian English and Spanish for us onboard with some history of surrounding locations. Murano was beautiful, but needed more time to explore after the exhibition. Torcello and Burano were both amazing too, with the right amount of time to see the sights.
The boat ride was smooth the whole time so perfect trip for families!

We are a family of 4 and our first day in Venice this was our main activity. It was lovely. Easy directions for meet up and nice clean spacious boat. The guide was enough funny without being over the top and lots of information. The scenery in the lagoon and on the islands was wonderful. We were on Sunday so missed the full glass factory experience but it also was not as hot and the demonstration was very nice. The shop is full of lovely pieces and no sales pressure. We did buy a nice piece which just shipped. Highly recommended but maybe not for young kids.

This was such an amazing tour and our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. December is a fabulous time to travel through Italy. The Doges palace was nearly empty early in the morning and we had the opportunity to see everything without enormous crowds. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and took care to make sure that all of our questions were answered along with providing an insiders point of view because she was a local. Just one caution, make sure that you get a friendly gondola driver. We had a grouchy one and it took away from the awesomeness of the day. For December in Venice, I recommend a warm jacket and a hat along with some gloves if you are visiting from a warmer part of the world. The Murano/Burano trip was definitely worth it. Both islands were so lovely. My daughter and I traveled through Italy for her 21st birthday. This tour and Venice are a must experience :)

It was beautiful and clean. There’s no cars, buses or bicycles so all travel is by boat or foot. You can walk across the island in 45 mins in most cases. Be careful of the tour ticket companies. We had good and bad experiences. One company called “Headout” sold us tickets for a tour leaving from near the train station. Ad says train station, ticket says train station. Night before, we check exactly where by the station and it says it’s on the other side of Venice! Headout’s response was “ nothing we can do, it’s less than the 24 hr cancellation policy. Called twice, twice told someone would call back, twice no call. Stay away from this company, there’s plenty of others.

This was an interesting trip , the glass was fascinating to watch how the pieces co e out but way to expensive buy , found it cheaper in Venice that was original as well . The lace lasted about 5 minutes but the shop was interesting . The guide was very good and the boat ride was comfortable but did get a bit rough . The icecream gelato was magnificent in Burano and all the coloured houses are fascinating .
    A trip worth taking

We love the ferry boat that operates between Venice and Murano. It’s easy to find at Venice, the cost is low, and the water is typically calm. The trip to Murano is 20-30 minutes, depending on the amount of other boat traffic and whether to boat stops at the island cemetery and/or cathedral (each worth a visit). Then your rewards are great photo opportunities from the boat and visiting Murano, a quaint island community of homes, shops, glass-blowing, and a museum. The residents are welcoming. The only thing we’ve noticed recently is that prices for glass and other items have increased quite a bit. It seems that Asian and perhaps other visitors are willing to pay more. However, bargaining usually is welcomed and will reduce your costs significantly.

We have enjoyed it every time.

I booked the 3 island tour and it was the most disappointing day ever!

    1. The instruction of getting to the location were not great but we managed to get there okay.
    2. The start of your was LATE!!!!!!
    3. We were told to arrive at 12.15 for 12.30 departure but they themselves got there much later than 12:45!!!
    4. The guide was siting 3-4 languages - Italian, English, French and Spanish.
    5. When she was talking we could barely hear what she was saying - it was just mumble jumble
    6. The first stop we were on the island for over 3 hours - which was the longest time and whilst enough time to explore - a bit TOOOO LONG!
    7. The return pick up was LATE!!!!!
    8. This meant the second island Burano - everything was closing as we got there just before 5pm. and we were only there for 1hour - NOT long enough!
    9. Since everything was closed we couldnt get hot drinks or even use a toilet!
    10. Last stop - pitch black. Most people didnt want to leave the boat as it was cold and it was raining at this point. Again - nothing open - no coffee or use of toilet!

Overall - I think it's a waste of time in the winter for this tour.

It might be nice in the summer - but i guess thats just a risk you'd need to take.

We had an amazing afternoon on this tour with our fantastic guide Georgia. After being picked up in a private boat from our hotel, we visited a glass factory in Murano and then spent some time exploring Burano before being dropped back at the hotel. Georgia is a local and was very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. Many thanks Georgia!

This was a nice way to spend a day seeing the different islands. My husband and I went on the Full-Day Venice Lagoon Tour Murano Burano and Torcello By Consorzio Vidali Group for $32 for each adult. It was a six-hour tour for all three islands. Each boat ride in between was about 30 minutes and the visits on the islands were an hour or more. The tour guide was friendly and gave information in a number of languages. It was a good outing for the day.
We weren't looking to buy glass, so we found Murano interesting, but we could have seen a demonstration and been done there in 20 minutes. Burano's houses and lace were absolutely delightful. Candy shops and gelato widely available. There were a number of cafes, too. We really loved it there. Torcello had a couple of places to eat and the small museum and the small church which charges admission. The first restaurant at Torcello scooped up all the visitors. It was an outdoor picnic table place with affordable and delicious food - definitely not fancy. The next restaurant up the road was fancier and looked really nice, but empty.
We enjoyed visiting all three islands!

The guide Francisco was amazing and highly knowledgeable. Excellent disposition and kind young man. Good clear voice and provided explanations of the various sights. Unfortunately, the weather was not great (raining)and viewing the sights from the boat was not clear.

We had a great time. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We'd book her again in a heart beat. This was a good value for a private tour with a family of 5.
