This market makes me want to live in Montreal and just three minutes away. Stocked with great fresh, seasonal produce you cannot go wrong. I only wish that I hadn't eaten in little italy beforehand and wanted to try a few things.

Don't miss the gem of the excellent bookstore tucked away in the market. they have a great selection of cookery books, and the assistant is very knowledgeable. She sold me a dessert book I would not have found or chosen. It's perfect for me and what I like to cook, that is how good she is.

I also know it's a brilliant store because they sell the only ice cream making book worth buying for delicious ice cream. Perfect Scoop by David Leibovitz. If they stock this book, know they know what they are doing. French and English books are available.

The Atwater Market sometimes plays second fiddle to Jean Talon Market but it is basically the same market with a wide variety of fresh vegetables, flowers and specialty stores selling everything from Honey to Seafood. Going early in the season as I did there wasn’t as much selection of vegetables, but that will come in time. Huge amounts of flowers are for sale and overall is a fantastic market to visit

While in Montreal recently, I had the opportunity to use the Montreal Underground to get from Old Montreal right up to Ste Catherine Street. Most of my walk was along concrete and brick walls, however it was punctuated by some shops and fast food outlets. The Montreal Underground is especially useful in winter when temperatures plunge in Montreal.

This is situated in an excellent location with plenty of shops a supermarket and a food court. The food court is excellent with a range of options. Do not buy water as it is free to foll up in your bottle near the toilets. It is clean and linked to the metro

This is an upscale shopping mall in downtown Montreal. It’s very high end with beautiful shops in it also houses the barbie expo show at one end of the mall well worth a visit.

The lovely Van Gogh exhibition was a big hit, but is now over, so onto other things.. Stunning Jean-Michel Othoniel exhib opened a few days ago and is like entering another world. Short documentary film behind black curtains also interesting (don't miss it). And Véronique Duplain's Selfie Project, 8th edition, exhibition shows how ambitious the art of selfie can be, with sets and costumes and scenarios as in a staged play, on view together with the end result photos.

The Eaton Centre is situated along Ste Catherine Street in Downtown Montreal and is easily accessed by foot or subway. It contains the standard shopping mall stores as well as a food court. Good place to pick up any items forgotten when packing for your trip.

Found some decent vinyl and vintage T shirts. Fun for digging and the vendors are super friendly. Could use some clean up but it is a flea market.

Beautiful crafts, primarily First Nations and Inuit art, in a relaxing modern setting. A single large exhibition space so not overwhelming..

We popped in here one afternoon when we had some time between other activities & dinner. I found it quite interesting, more so than I expected. It's in 2 different buildings, so don't miss that. The Yoko Ono exhibit was there when we visited, & I thought it was exceptional, very thought-provling.

Conveniently located on Sainte-Catherine, the heart of Montréal downtown shopping district. It features a indigo bookstore, Winners, Laura, Dollarama among other smaller shops. The food court has different varieties of food.
