nice set up with onlytwo galleries open at present but exceptionally cheap and if you have about an hour I would recommend although the plight of the indigenous and in the japanese minority had limited appeal I suspect

Beautiful scenery; the park grounds are kept in immaculate condition. There is so much to see, you could spend hours wandering and still find more!

Beautiful harbor to look at and walk around. We walked both sides of the harbor as they have a very nice walkway.

Built in the late 1800s by Robert Dunsmuir the richest man in Western Canada, reputedly at a cost of C$500,000. Sadly he died before it was completed. having been through several owners an uses, it has been preserved as a historical museum since 1979.

It is a fascinating insight into life for the wealthy at the end of 1800s and start of 1900s.

It's free. Better on a guided tour. Even with the tour you are left to wonder around yourself afterwards. Very educational. When we went you needed proof of vaccination before allowed entry. Group demonstrating on the street about that fact.

This is a nice place if you are a non vegetarian and sea food lover .

The restaurant has a great ambience of typical Goan Picturesque.

You won't be disappointed with the non vegetarian menu.

With the. Ambience of typical beach resort and open seating the best time to be here is during the monsoons.

You might expect a waiting time of close to 15-20 minutes if you are trying for weekend.

Overall a great experience and a good staff with on time service on the orders.

Great place for a drive and the occasional stop to walk and take in the views of the coast. Lots of parking at the viewpoints

I had very low expectations for this attraction but went anyway because it is justifiably rated very high for Victoria as a place to go. So go there! There so much to see and quite remarkable to view it all through adult eyes (although younger kids seemed to love it as well). The workmanship is truly special.

I didn't think there was any way that we could spend an hour touring the museum. We ended up spending 2 hours. It's really well done.

The place to walk to blow away the cobwebs. Suggest you walk along the top going out and then along the outer side to see all the art work. Take care of tide and waves if you choose to do that. Only go if you're in the area. We wouldn't make a special trip out to it.

We didn’t plan to visit the gardens but because of flight difficulties between Victoria and Toronto, we stayed for an extra day. We were staying at a hotel in the inner harbour area and it took us about an hour to walk to the gardens. We walked through residential areas and saw more of the city up close. We visited mid June and I think the garden was likely in peak performance a few weeks earlier but still, it was lovely. The volunteer who welcomed us was welcoming and there were many volunteers working in the gardens on the day we visited. We decided to stay for high tea. ( I think $65.00 each.) We aren’t tea or coffee drinkers so were charged extra for ginger ale. The table we had was super as we had a sweeping view of the garden and our plate of treats: wee sandwiches, scones, cookies, & squares was very nice. To return, we took the city bus back and the stop to catch the bus is about half a block from the gardens near a school and just $2.50 each. There’s a donation box on the way out and I think $10 was suggested per guest. We enjoyed this unplanned day very much.

The ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria is CLOSED due to Covid 19. This is normally a great way to get to or from Vancouver Island and Washington without going through Seattle.

A storefront with only two rooms, but full of glass cages holding many different insects. Some are difficult to find -- the stick insects look, well, like sticks. Others the docent will gladly take out of their cage and put on you hand. A unique zoo, and a fun 60 minute visit.

an interesting building to visit and some history on view so good for half an hour but some security to go through. I would recommend if fed up with shopping and caffeine

So glad we picked a B&B nearby. We walked here almost every day to enjoy the grounds with its sneak preview of springtime. Daffodils grow quite naturally all over Vancouver Island but only this place can frame them so beautifully.
The dedicated volunteer staff are happy to chat about features of the Government House grounds.
Some construction and upgrades were underway so there’s. Something even better around the corner this summer.
