Great tour with guide Rachel. Visited lots of places and sampled poutine, spicy chicken, icecream, cheesecake and more with beer, wine or soft drink at each stop. Highly recommended

Loved the live acoustic music, food was very good for a buffet. Cloudy and rained off and on but the attention of the crew, the entertainment and the food made being out on the water a great experience despite the weather.

My family and I went on this tour in June of 2022. The tour includes stops at two tea shops, a fishmonger, a bakery, a BBQ deli, and includes a dim sum lunch. If you look at the other food tours in Vancouver, you'll see that "A Wok Around Chinatown" is the best value in terms of food and time. And it's not just food, you'll learn about the Chinese-Canadian immigrant experience, Chinese culture and food culture, and the history of Chinatown. Be sure to ask lots of questions of not just the tour guide, but also of the places at which you'll stop. In particular, the tea shops are very expert in tea. Although nominally scheduled to run for 3.5 hours, by the time the host ended the tour, he had spent 5 hours (!) with us. Also be sure to challenge your stomach by trying something you haven't tried before, at the dim sum restaurant.

Things I learned on this tour:
They sell horse-shoe crabs for eating (never seen that at a Chinese Restaurant before)
Jasmine tea is flavored primarily by steaming the buds with the tea.
Chinese tea is steeped at a lower temperature (as low as 65 C, depending on the tea type), so as to not introduce the tannins into the beverage; English tea is brewed with boiling water, hence the need to add sugar and cream, to counteract the tannin.
How chicken feet are prepared for dim sum.

Bob makes an effort to learn about the people on his tour, so that he can tailor the information to be relevant. We highly recommend this tour.

Our guide Paul's enthusiasm for the outdoors and for Vancouver was infectious!
A delightful walk through the most beautiful forest, with lots of fascinating information from Paul.
Followed after lunch with an easy ride in the countryside with a lovely small group.
Great day out and good bikes!!

I highly recommend Michael and his wonderful tour of the Fraser Valley wine region! My partner and I chose to book this tour after doing extensive research on several different Vancouver area winery tour options. We chose this tour for two main reasons: 1) Unlike some of the other wine tasting tours we researched, there was no minimum number of guests required for the tour to operate. Our tour had just one other group of 3 people, and the small group experience was absolutely preferable to my partner and I--we are not the large party bus types. 2) This was the only tour we found that included a meadery. We love mead, and wanted this more unusual experience which can’t be found just anywhere.

Michael himself was a wonderful tour guide. He picked us up right in front of our hotel, and peppered our bus ride with multiple interesting facts about the Vancouver area and Fraser Valley wine region. It quickly became clear that Michael has personal relationships with the owners of each of the wineries that we visited, which resulted in learning a lot about the fascinating history of each winery (and meadery). Michael also engaged in conversation with each of us throughout the tour, and getting to know Michael personally gave the tour a personal touch that stands out from other similar tours I have experienced. Michael even gave us a recommendation for an absolutely incredible Malaysian restaurant (Banana Leaf), which we would not have discovered otherwise. We ended up having one of the most memorable meals there out of our entire 7 day trip!

Note that the cost of this tour does not include tasting fees, something we were aware of beforehand. However, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the meadery did not charge us any tasting fees because of the great relationship they have with Michael. Impressive!

The only negative aspect of the tour was that it did not include lunch, like we’d hoped. Apparently this was because the restaurant that used to be part of the tour closed down due to COVID--something that can’t be helped, obviously. To make up for this, Michael did pack us a nice bag of snacks in place of lunch, which we greatly appreciated.

In total, we visited 3 wineries (Backyard, Township 7, Blackwood Lane) plus the meadery (Festina Lente) over the course of 5-6 hours. Each of these had very different tasting menus, which gave us a wonderfully wide variety of wines and meads to try. We live very close to Napa, Sonoma, and several other fabulous California wine regions, and the selection of wineries we visited in the Fraser Valley completely held their own against California wines. If and when we ever return to Vancouver, we will certainly consider booking another tour with Lawrence Tours.

We had an amazing time with Michelle from Vancouver Foodie Tours. She was really friendly and a very knowledgeable guide.
The tour started with some gorgeous soft bread from A Bread Affair, then we had cheese, meats and salmon (candied maple salmon was my favourite!) to go with the bread.
Warm thick noodles next and then a nice salad with a refreshing dressing completed then savoury part of the tour.

We then tried chocolate, macarons, a lemon square and as it was approaching the end of the tour we were offered a delicious single origin coffee from JJ Bean. This was completed with none other than a warm, fluffy, sugar glazed donut from Lee’s famous Granville Island donut shop. Yum yum yum.

I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone interested in exploring the fabulous Granville Island food market.

Thanks so much to our guide Michelle!

Wonderful tour. Bob was so knowledgeable. Learned a lot about Vancouver and food. Very engaging. Took time to chat with everyone. Food samples are large and you will be full when you are done. We even took some home. Learned some cooking tips and recipes. Highly recommend this tour. Stay after and visit the Sandbar restaurant and shops in the area. Granville Island is a great day trip.

The whole trip was fabulous, Kevin, our tour guide did a great job selecting three different breweries with different specialities, both in the style of food and the beer they brewed. There were four of us, Liam and Chris were locals and told us loads of stuff about the city, after the tour we ended up eating divine salted caramel sponge cake and staggering home after a wonderful night out!Highly recommended.

Paul and his team put on a fabulous guided cycling tour for us on Vancouver Island. It was an all inclusive trip and the hotels and restaurants Paul chose were first class. Paul was with us the whole time and added to the trip with his knowledge of the history and the geography. My son had a similar experience with Paul's company several weeks before we went. I would highly recommend Into the Wild Cycling Tours - you will have a blast.

My friend and I did this tour with Voytek and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. He did a wonderful job introducing us to the area and the wineries we visited were unique, friendly, informative, and most of the wines were tasty. It was nice not having to drive ourselves since there were 25 tastings (1-2oz pours) in all! The amount of time at each stop (~30 minutes) worked out perfectly for us with plenty of time to enjoy the tasting, use the facilities, or purchase a snack. Since this was a private tour, we had pickup/dropoff at our hotel which was much appreciated. And we had a great time chatting with Voytek. I highly recommend this experience!

5 out of 5 star, right from booking the event. Everyone I spoke to at Canadian craft tours was helpful and friendly. Kevin, our tour guide arrived on time, put up with 11 of us woman and our shenanigans. We were celebrating a bride-to-be with a denim and diamonds themed stagette. Kevin was easy-going, knowledgeable and kept us on schedule (we all know how that could go sideways on a wine tour lol). This is the second time I have booked a function through Canadian Craft Tours and I highly recommend both the company and Kevin himself.

First, this hike is absolutely amazing!! It is a tough one, straight up a mountain, but the views make it all worth it. What made it even better was my wonderful guide Ria! Ria only does small tours and she was nice enough to do this hike when I was the only one to sign up for it. She was very knowledgeable and friendly - we had a wonderful day hiking and topped it off with a trip to a local brewery! If you want a small tour experience in the Vancouver area (I mean who doesn't??) I would definitely recommend booking with 7 Adventure Tours! Happy hiking and adventuring everyone!

Had a great time on this tour and Liam was fantastic! He took us to multiple restaurants with a diverse selection of food, and while walking between restaurants we also got a bit of history of Vancouver, Gastown, and Canada. This was a private tour during covid and he was very accommodating of us having a 1 year old in a stroller.
