Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Long Beach is famous for its long stretches of sandy beaches, dramatic shoreline, and powerful surf. It's a popular spot for surfing, beachcombing, and taking in beautiful sunsets. Visitors can stroll along the sandy shores, watch the crashing waves, and enjoy the coastal scenery.

This is the first tim who I have been and The forest is so big and the wildlife is so dense. There used to be fewer bears, but now the population has increased considerably. The scenery is always splendid and so is the welcome.

This was a magical experience. Anna set up everything and was there personally to greet us. We were picked up by boat in Tofino harbor by Danny. After a 30 min boat trip, we toured the Ahousat village to learn all about their beautiful culture and see the amazing progress tourist is having in the community. We met a bunch of cute village pups too! We then hiked the trail. Even though it was raining, it was the most serene and gorgeous site. Be prepared for some tougher spots but overall an easy hike. Danny met us in Cow Bay and took us back to Tofino. You can hike back or camp that night and hike back in the morning. Either way... a must do!

Worth doing if you love trees and unique environments; which I do. Easy water taxi across with some wildlife watching and then a reflective stroll through the forest. The boardwalk is ok ( it’s hand made so be prepared for uneven steps, slippery conditions and the like) but the trail is fantastic. I was lost in my own world with some giants. If it has rained then be prepared to get wet from the vegetation; the trail is a wild one but well marked.

Great hike to the crash site. Slightly surprised that this isn’t an official hike as it was one of our favourites in the area. The trail is well marked and the boardwalk is in good condition, however there is no signposting, so read up on some guides before you go. Would definitely advise going in dry weather as we saw how muddy the place could easily get. There is a terrific amount of the wreckage remaining and you can get some great photos. Would not recommend climbing on the wreckage as not sure how safe and secure it is in position. All in all the hike took us about 90 minutes both ways from the Radar Hill lower cad park, just off the highway.

This was tough but worth it! It took 2:30 up and about the same down. We have no hiking experience but fairly fit and able. Down was harder and a bit scary at times, we went fairly quickly with 1 stops and it still took as long to get down as up.
When we got to the top we couldn’t see a thing, too much cloud cover. 20mins later it was clear. Well worth the hike for the view.
The ground was very boggy at the bottom and slippery then going into a steep incline holding roots to help pull us up. Quite the adventure!

The South Bay Trail starts beside the Kwisitis Visitor Centre, which is currently closed for renovations. It’s a 1.6 km out-and-back trail. Most of it is on an elevated boardwalk, though there are some dirt trail sections. The trail follows the shoreline with what would be beautiful views of the beaches if it wasn’t so foggy the day we were there. At the beginning of the trail there are signs that explain some of the traditions of the First Peoples in the region. There is one short steep part of the boardwalk, and about 45 stairs that go down to South Beach at the end, but overall it’s a pretty easy trail. The South Beach itself is made up of fine rocks, and there are some huge rock formations on the beach. It’s too rough to go in the water, but very cool to watch and hear the waves come crashing in.

A short and sweet walk through a very different ecosystem from what you see elsewhere in the area.
Unfortunately there are no signs on the hike, so you don't really know what you are looking at. HOWEVER, if you stop at the Kwasitis Visitor Center first, you can get an information booklet. We got it afterwards, but it would have been better to go to the Visitor Center first.

The trail is beautiful, and the beach (abandoned when we visited at mid-day in mid-June) is gorgeous. Another visitor told us that she had seen a bear pretty close up on the beach a little earlier. The trail is mostly wide and well maintained, but is moderately long and steep --- I won't recommend it for wheelchairs or strollers.

Nuu Chah Nulth Trail is a great boardwalk trail linking Florencia Beach and Long Beach through an awe inspiring stretch of pristine rainforest across Nuu Chah Nulth country (you'll find many explanatory placards presenting the way of life of these traditional owners of the land on the path). The length is 2.5 km one way of hilly trail (expect stairs, so not suitable for all). Trailheads are off the parking lot at Florencia Beach and behind Kwisitis Visitor Centre at Long Beach. Keep your eyes peeled for eagles, ravens and squirrels in the canopy, giant slugs at your feet - plus, as everywhere in the park this is bear and coastal wolf country ...
