Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great introductory overview on our first day in town. Thoroughly enjoyed all the beautiful sights and lunch far exceeded expectations…good quality and big portions. Didn’t see any animals on this tour but saw moose, bear, sheep and elk just driving around on our own.

Great few hours seeing Maligne Valley and all its beautiful scenery. We were able to see a lot in a short while and we were given expert care and guidance as to all the local history and interesting facts. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Unfortunately the exact trip we did isn't on TA, so I'm reviewing part of it! We did the Icefields Parkway tour from Jasper, and although the tour went further, we got off at Lake Louise. The whole experience was excellent. I'm a wheelchair user, and our driver Colin, and guide Maria, were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. It's a great itinerary, and I confess we had thought of it as a useful means to get to Lake Louise from Banff, but it turned out to be one of the highlights of our Canada trip.
This part of the tour, the Icefield tour was surreal and fascinating. Bring sensible shoes as you will be walking on a glacier - it's very slippery underfoot and of course it's cold! After our buffet lunch (not bad!) at the Discovery Centre and the ice explorer trip, we visited the Skywalk, and despite both suffering from vertigo, we both managed the walk. It was worth it! I thoroughly recommend Brewster.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the bears, especially. We saw a lot of deer, longhorn, sheep and one black bear.

What a great way to spend a morning!

We booked through Maligne tours as we had very little time in Jasper and we wanted to see as much as we could. The company did not disappoint! Our guide, Sam, took us to some really cool locations which were off the beaten track. He was absolutely fantastic and is obviously really knowledgable and passionate about what he does, he used the short time available to share his knowledge of both the flora and fauna of Jasper as well as some history of the area which left us all feeling a lot more educated.

The tour itself was awesome, we managed to see some massive elk as well as a bald eagle and an osprey.

All in all it was a great morning and one that I would recommend to anyone visiting the area! Thanks again Sam!

Handy to have something to point out local or historical information as you drive this great piece of road. Easy to purchase and setup to play through your car stereo.

Brad was our driver and he was very personable and knowledgeable, and made it a fun day. Alijah was hostess. She is new with the company, but was an absolute delight. Very enthusiastic. And we saw numerous bears, elks and even a hoary marmot. A very pleasant day, beautiful scenery, and good food at the lunch buffet.

The bus was quite late arriving due to multiple pick ups. Initially the driver was going to cut out Lake Louise which was a must see. After protest this was rectified, but more time there, and a shorter lunch break would have been better.

Karlee and Gery did a great job filling us in with interesting stores and history of the area. It was just stunning views from the boat. Nice little hike on the island.

An excellent day and a lot of fun. Lots of interesting stops, things to see and do and very informative. Thoroughly enjoyed the Icefields and the drive itself is beautiful. Norm was a great guide and the bus was clean and comfortable.

We had a lovely experience on this trip with the exception of the poor guide on the GOLD LEAF carriage who just talked about himself and not about the region most of the time. You are only on the train for 2 days also and would like to hear as much as possible about the indigenous tribes and their life as well as the terrain. We didn’t even know about the terrible history of the 20,000 indigenous children whose remains have been found throughout Canada starting with the finding of remains in the school yard at Kamloops … we only found that out from friends who were in another carriage. Also, he (Jacov) talked so much we missed seeing several bears along the track the the rest did see which was alerted to by their guide. All the other staff were very helpful and lovely.
Banff is quite nice but the hotel we stayed in was extremely old and terrible facilities…, I’m confident they could do better.
Also, we only had an evening at the stunning Lake Louise and left first thing the next morning the rest of the travellers all agreed it was sad not to enjoy this iconic spot on the map, it’s simply stunning.
This trip is a actually advertised as a 7 day trip was it is actually 5 as you have a greeting on the afternoon of the first day. And the last day is just breakfast in Vancouver, I think a bit cheeky of 5em it’s false advertising by Travel Marvel.

We managed to see all the species of deer that are in the national park, even a moose that was trying its best to hide behind the trees. Tried really hard to see a bear but it was one of those days when they didn't want to be seen! We got a good view of a bald eagle on the nest and the pictures of the big horned sheep were amazing.
Jeff, our guide, took time to explain the geology of the park which we found very interesting

Special thanks to Lisa our tour guide and Robert our "captain". Lisa kept us organized and on scheduled. Robert got us safely to our destinations. You guys rock!

I would have given Westar 5 stars (took 1 star off) because of the "dump" motel Forest Park accomodations in Jasper and the "minivan" that we shuttled around in on our last day (cramped, uncomfortable, little leg room, difficult to enter/exit).

The tour itself was fantastic. Saw lots of wildlife and great photographs. The negative was that between TripAdvisor and Sundog their was a disconnect. Sundog did not have us on their pickup list! Their website had a list of pickup locations but the Fairmount Jasper Lodge wasn't on it. Their was a blank to fill in your location. I called Sundog before our trip and they said they pick up their. When the driver came to pick up guests we we not on the list because we went through TripAdvisor. Suggest never using trip advisor and call them directly. Sundog saw my papers and let us get on but we were lucky. I've had same issue with TripAdvisor in Italy 2019. I will nit use TripAdvisor again! Good job Sundog.
