Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Gorgeous scenery on a day with vivid blue skies! Athabasca is roaring with energy and looks mighty💪.
Nice hike. This falls and canyon are much more beautiful than the Johnston Canyon. The trail is easier and shorter although both are of moderate difficulty.

This was a new trip called Odyssey experience that they had just began in June at the icefield. Highly recommend this, Sebastian the guide was really knowledgeable and fun. This is a much smaller vehicle than the normal busses as it only holds around 6 people and the experience was fun from start to finish for the two hours. Have some fantastic photos on the glacier. Would highly recommend this, this is a bit more than going on the bigger busses but worth every penny.

Easy parking with well signposted routes from bridges 1 and 2 leading down the steps and paths to bridges 3 and 4. Impressive slot canyons with great depth and fast flowing water. Round trip to bridge 4 back to upper car park/ restaurant took us 1 hour 20 minutes complete with stops for photos. For us it was a must do in the area. Given more time we would have included bridges 5 and 6.

So many trails to choose from in varying difficulty! Many animal sightings: bears with cubs, moose, elk, bighorn sheep, deer, a bald eagle with her babies, and a fox. The lake is serene, especially in the early morning when it’s not full of visitors. Skip the Moose Lake Trail Loop. The lake is very low and not worth the time, and Upper Moose Lake is completely empty. The Canyon Trail is amazing, but it is a steep uphill from 5th bridge up to 1st bridge where the Wilderness Kitchen is located.

Had a fab time here loved the views and the ice fields before hand were a blast. Little expensive but all in all a good day out

Definitely go middle of the day though so the sun is hitting the mountains just right

    Crew: 5 stars
Restaurant service at the top: 4 stars
    Overall: Excellent

Honest people. Before purchasing the tickets, you have the option to checkout the views from the top. It didn't seem like a money making business to me.

Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This was one of several “quick & easy hikes” (oxymoron) we did during our visit to the Canadian Rockies this Fall. Totally worth it. Highly recommend visiting the stream/pond area that’s on a short side road you drive past on the way in/out of the Glacier area.

We have Mr. Zach of Beckers Gourmet Restaurant to thank for recommending the Pyramid Lake that has a bridge to an island from which to view the Pyramid Mountain up-close.

It is a short and easy hike to the island and around it that offers picturesque vantage points all around. My 92-year old Nay enjoyed it!

There is a beach before you reach the entrance to the bridge.

Two miles before Pyramid Lake is Patricia Lake which is also nice to see.

This was a fun time. We opted for only doing the Planetarium as the night sky stays light so late you’d need to go later in the evening to use the telescope and that didn’t work with our schedule. Nicole was wonderful. She went above and beyond in explaining everything and was as sweet as can be. She made our experience quite memorable.

We did the Maligne Lake and Spirit Island boat cruise. The scenery is so beautiful it looks exactly like the postcards. The journey to and from Spirit Island is made even better by the commentary by Connor and the expertise of the Captain Brooke. Would do this cruise again

This was one of my favourite views. You can see 3 glaciers at once and the chance to see calving as the one lake by the glacier has small ice bergs in it. It is about a 30 minute drive up and you can only do it in a vehicle that doesn’t have trailer because the roads are very windy. It is a short uphill hike but most of it is paved. There are also some nice views on the way

My husband and I hiked up to the toe of the glacier. It was fun as it’s our first experience. The trek up is between moderate (80%) and hard (20%) difficulty. What I describe as the 20% portion entailed inclines when my feet felt almost vertical. It was also slippery so caution is very important.

The parking lot has outhouses. No connectivity in the area.

Across the glacier on the other side of the Icefields Parkway is what appears to be an Inn with a restaurant.
