We started at 8:15 with pre-arranged pickup at our AirBnB which we appreciated. Our driver, Raul, was very pleasant and capable. The drive is close to 2 hours over very bumpy roads. Our group was a set of 10 people who were both Spanish and English speaking. The van had seating for 12 and was a tight fit.
Our guide, Jose Luis, was excellent at explaining the history in both languages and taking us around. The cities of Cholula and Puebla were wonderful and we enjoyed the trip but would make a few recommendations.
1) Make sure to bring water and snacks as none are provided. We didn't end up eating until 3pm
2) The climb to the top of the cathedral in Cholula is not easy and not for everyone.
3) In Puebla, everyone in our group was extremely disappointed with the food at Casa Real Poblana. It is a buffet and had limited offerings and what was offered was not good. It would be better to allow people to find their own food and have some free time and rejoin at a central meeting point.
We arrived back in MXDC around 7:30 and since we were the last drop off didn't get home until 8:30 so a long day
