From Hotel across from the Market we watched from our balcony vendors set up their stalls each Saturday morning 8-2 pm.

We bought the most delicious Apple Strudel from Hecho Bakery. One stall was selling delicious cinnamon buns. We bought some to take on our flight home.

Enjoyed excellent shrimp paella and Thai food. There was a great selection and difficult to decide.

The mosaic art benches are beautiful throughout the Park.

On our two week vacation we enjoyed the Market twice and will certainly come back on our next visit to PV.

Long walk plenty of sun screen and hat are a must. Interesting Art. Including what we saw at a historic Catholic church. Be sure to tip artists and grab Gatorade the heat and sun is powerful with few areas of shade. Take a cab back if you walk all the way pass the Dominoes Pizza.

Nice mall, looks like Florida. Could have more restaurants but its great for clothes, as it has all the usual brands. Nice for an evening stroll.

We wanted to do some climate controlled shopping and my husband needed a new shirt for dinner and decided to check out the local mall. Took an Uber from our hotel, Hacienda San Angel (see my review, awesome place!). This was your usual average mall. We were practically the only people in there so that was nice. They had some nice stores, especially AyGuey. I love their stuff. And we spent most of our time in the largest department store, LiverPool. They had the cutest selection of kids clothes. I bought two outfits for our toddler daughter, she loved them. And a nice shirt for my husband and one for my eldest son. All and all a nice experience .

COVID info - they had a security greeter at all entrances with temp taking and sanitizers and social distancing and masking throughout.

Many stores with souvenirs, pottery, leather goods etc, at good prices not as cheap as Matzatlan. Caution this area has many hills, cobblestone streets and steep sidewalks .

This was a unique and memorable experience at a lovely gallery. On the Wednesday Art Walk, I spotted a 1956 "Aida" poster from a block away, strolled over, met Dr. Marty, began a sophicated dialogue, and he agreed to sell me the piece from his private collection. I returned the next day; we continued the visit and I made the purchase. Marty provided the provenance of the poster, then locked his gallery and took me by cab to his international shipper. He is brilliant, informative, collegial, and companionable. I am very excited about the purchase and thrilled to have such an excellent accompanying narrative with which to regale my friends who will be impressed with my good taste.

This beautiful shop and charming owner is one of the "must do" galleries in the Gallery District. Focusing on Mexican art the owner has travelled all over the country to provide a truly comprehensive view of contemporary Mexican art. There is folk art, beautiful lithographs, ceramics, jewelry, indeed something for everyone. It's one of those places where you really need to slow down, take your time, and focus on the humanity of each piece.

We explored Old Town on 01/01/22, New Year's Day. Even though we were told by staff at the hotel we were staying at that everything would be open on New Year's Day, that simply was not true. Just 2 blocks away from the beach everything was closed. Isla Cuale market was also open. We had to take a taxi for 130 Pesos from our hotel as the old downtown was about 25 miles away. As we were seeking to find a place to have breakfast about 6 blocks from the beach, we encountered a local lady who owned a restaurant... she said it was open. We followed her there and found it also to be closed. Our only recourse was to go down to the beachfront where everything was open. After breakfast we explored all areas of the old downtown. Quite interesting and in the afternoon there were more shops opening up. From what I read online, small locally owned shops and restaurants do not accept credit cards or US dollars. I read that we had to buy with Pesos only. This is a lot of baloney. Nearly everyone accepts USD and most will take credit cards as well. Just make sure you do your calculations correctly for pesos vs dollars. In 2022 a peso is worth about 5 cents.

We visited Colectika on a self guided ArtWalk tour, and were not disappointed. We purchased some lovely pieces here, at a very reasonable price. We will definitely return on our next visit to PV.

One of the few REAL talavera shops in Vallarta. They do not the cheap clay knockoffs you see in the tourist shops. Antonio is knowledgeable and will go into as much sett as you like. A real old school business.

This a a great gallery in the Gallery District. The different artists represented are varied. There are different types of art; sculpture, prints and paintings. And, best of all there are actually things that you could easily take back home and not have to worry about shipping. The owner Gary is extremely helpful and full of information.

We took the Mojonares bus from Centro - and it was quite a long bus ride. It's in a neighbourhood, and there are small tents set up along many streets. You have to dig through all of the items, but you're likely to always come away with some good deals. There are also food vendors there. Bano's out there are quite disgusting apparently -- and fortunately we didn't need to use one. It's a great way to spend much of the day. Good to go early -- like leave at 7 a.m. to get the best selection and beat the crowds

We searched out this gallery on my nephew’s recommendation - as an artist, he has very high standards. We certainly were not disappointed. The venue is open, with a rugged sophistication: lots of white plaster, curved walls, interesting windows and the art is modern, a little edgy and very exciting. I particularly liked the sculptures with figures of petrified bone, silver, and small jewels. The same artist also has a collection of jewelry on display. An experience not to be missed.
