Awesome experience! Once in a lifetime! If you love to interact with animals, this is the place to go! The prices are high but well worth it. The baby jaguars are so cute!!!

Used an independent tour for $25 per person vs. much higher cruise ship prices.
A good 45-1hour drive to get there.
As soon as you arrive you & your guide start walking downhill amongst (it feels) like 100 vendors/shops all of them vying for you to buy something.
I personally just walked down to the blowhole bc I really don't feel like shopping under pressure.
The area of the blowhole is very nice but I've seen much better, but I still recommend going.

When we asked her to add a wine tasting to our afternoon excursion, our Tours By Locals guide brought us to the Santo Tomas Miramar tasting room in the heart of Ensenada.   We had a wonderful time there in large thanks to Viridiana’s wine knowledge and personal kindness.   She made sure we were comfortable, moving us to a sunny spot on the plaza for the start of our tasting and answering all our questions about the wine, the winery and the history of Ensenada.  This was a highlight of our week-long stay in Baja.

From the moment you drive into the property you know it will be memorable. The enormous oak tree is a magical setting to taste their amazing wines. Italian wine-maker Magoni still has his hand in the process. I’d encourage you to do the reserve tasting as we were able to try two of those and they were indeed special. Have a panini under the large oak for a great lunch! They are also making their own balsamic and we learned about that as well.

Rustic elegance adorned with art, plants, and good vibes. We were received by a knowledgeable and personable hostess for service to taste the wines. Each wine had a distinct flavor, was well crafted, and tasted amazing. We noticed a restaurant onsite but already ate, so we hope to try it on the next visit.

This review is long overdue, and I sincerely apologize for the delay. Yesterday, January 4, 2025, my family and I were walking through Ensenada after disembarking from another Carnival cruise. To our surprise, we ran into our horseback riding tour guide, Miguel (I think) from Baja Bandidos who was leading another tour at the time. He led us on an hour or so horseback riding through the Rita’s Beautiful ranch, te mountains, and along the coast line. He was and the cowboys were undoubtedly the best tour guides I've ever encountered. Miguel himself was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about his work. His cultural insights and enthusiasm truly enriched our experience, making it unforgettable. Seeing him yesterday on my 36th birthday was a fantastic surprise! He instantly remembered myself and my family and gave me a big hug as he was heading back onto the tour bus. My family and I couldn’t stop talking about he, Rita and the Cowboys that left us full of joy. They made sure we were safe, comfortable, fed our bellies with some delicious tacos, yummy margarita drinks, took tons of pictures and videos etc. I have and will continue to recommend taking their tour.

This is a beautiful old former casino with lots of history. The tours are probably very worthwhile but we just walked around on our own with no fee.

Visiting this winery was part of an excursion from our cruise ship. It is an interesting place inside with lots of unique gifts available. The wine and snacks they served were fine.

Something for everyone! Even though fires had come through a month or so before our visit, the canyon was already again beginning to burst in green. The view of the deep canyon and waterfall was great and not difficult to reach. We had younger children and of course held them closely and didn't go near the edge but we all enjoyed it immensely. Camping facilities are right there at the beginning of the hike.

The highlight of this park is a water feature that starts up at night time. The water fountains start up at random times and positions every couple of minutes, accompanied by lights and music. The most fun is to be had watching brave souls walk into the fountain area, essentially playing 'chicken' with the fountain, only to be drenched when the fountains burst up right from around them.
